Ready Set Go

Chapter 4

Kayla's POV

We finally got there at 3:00. We may or may not have stopped for food. Let's say we didn't.

"Dang! This place is great!" Nicole said getting out of the car.

"Heck yeah it is." Tia said doing the same.

"Let's go then!" I said walking up to the door. I rang the bell and waited. We all looked at eachother as we heard multiple voices coming toward the door.

JC's POV

As I started walking to open the door all of them followed.

"No! Stay!" I said holding my hand out. I didn't want them all there at once. I started walking again and they all followed again.

"Boys! Stay!" I said as they all went to sit on the couch. "Good boys!" I said taking to them like dogs.

"Woof." Sam said plopping onto the couch.

I smiled and opened the door.

"Hello there." I said letting them in.

Kayla's POV

"Hello there." JC said letting us in. As we walked in we saw his friends on the couch playing video games already.

"By the way you were talking I was expecting dogs to be in here." Nicole said laughing waking in more.

"Nicole!" I whispered to she could hear and nudged her in the gut.

"What! I was kidding!" She said and stood there. Everyone laughed as we walked over to the couch.

"These are my friends." JC said introducing everyone.

We all took a seat somewhere and picked up controllers. I sat in between JC and Ricky with Tia sitting at my feet and Nicole sat with Sam. I looked over to her and wiggled by eyebrows and mouthed "get it girl." She laughed silently and kept playing.

"You guys fit in so well with us!" Ricky said putting his feet on Tia's head.

"Wow, thanks dude!" Tia said shaking her head to get them off.

"What! You're a good foot rest." Ricky said laughing and continued playing.

We finished our game and Kian won.

"Take that suckers!!!" Kian yelled dancing in front of the TV.

"Get out of here!" We all started yelling at him and laughing.

We all decided to go to the pool area and hang out and eat smore's. It was 6:00 and we all were still having fun.

"That's a good one!" Nicole said pointing at Connors.

"What can I say, I'm a professional." He said shrugging and laughed.

I laughed along and laid my head on JCs shoulder not meaning to.

"I'm sorry!" I said sitting back up

"No, it's okay." He said smiling down at me. I smiled back and ate another smore.

JC's POV

As the night went on I couldn't help but look at her. She was just so down to earth and fit in so well with us.

"I didn't even notice it was 10:30." Sam said as we all were sitting on blankets around the fire.

Nicole was laying in Sam's lap and everyone else was scattered around the fire. Kayla's head was on my shoulder again.

"Wow. I didn't notice either!" Kayla said lifting her head up. "We should get home." She said standing up and dusting off.

"Yeah, its been fun! I can't wait to hang out with you guys again." Tia said as we all started getting up.

We all walked over to her car.

Kayla's POV

We all walked over to my car and as I expected Nicole made Sam carry her. She's the laziest person I've ever met. We all said our goodbyes and got into the car. I rolled my window down and JC leaned down.

"I had fun tonight." He said smiling.

"I did too." I said smiling back.

"Text me when you get home okay." He said winking.

"Eh. Maybe I will." I said playfully.

"Good night." JC said kissing my cheek.

"Good night." I said smiling and rolling up the window and starting the car.

That was a great night.
