Kayla POV
"I love you." The last thing my dad said before he got on the plane to leave us. He got a job transfer to Nevada and we had to stay here in Texas for my moms job. I miss him like crazy. But we are getting along here just fine. It's summer vacation for us and I've decided to finally be productive and go to the mall with some friends.
"Mom! I'm going to the mall with Tia and Nicole,be back later!" I yelled to my mom
"Okay! Be back before midnight okay?" She said walking into the kitchen.
"I will." I said grabbing my keys and walking out the door to my car.
--
"Let's go to Bath and Body! I need to get some lotion." Tia said walking into the store.
"Alright let's go!" I said as we all walked into the store.
About 15 minutes into looking around my phone started ringing.
"I'll be right back guys, phones ringing." I said as I walked outside of the store.
"Hello!" I said
"Hey sis, it's Lance."
I have an older brother Lance, he's two years older then me. He's 19 and I'm , 17.
"What's up?" I ask
"Can I get some blankets out of your room? Rachel is coming over for a movie night."
"Yeah, sure. Go for it!" I said not really caring. Rachel is Lance's girlfriend of 8 months.
We finished our conversation and as I was hanging up a group of guys walked passed me and one of them stood out. He looked right at me and winked. I couldn't help but smile and walk back into the store to find Tia and Nicole.
" Guys guys!" I said half jumping on both of them.
"Woah! What the heck!" They both said looking at me
"I saw a boy." I said smiling
"Oh my gosh!!!" They said freaking out with me.
"Let's go find him!" Tia said taking me and Nicole by the wrists and pulling us out.
"No! I don't t want to look weird in front of him!" I said as we walked out the store to begin our hunt for this mystery boy.
As we walked along I accidentally ran into someone.
"I'm so sor.." I could finish before being interrupted.
"No, it's totally okay. It was my fault." A boy smiled at me.
It's him.
