Chapter 5

Kayla's POV

~3 weeks later~

The girls spent the night at my place last night. I woke up and and only Tia was there. I looked out my window and saw Nicole's car wasn't there. I picked up my phone to see where she went and I had a text from her.

Nicole- Mom needed me home to watch Lee. Wuv you!!!

Lee is Nicole's little brother. I texted her back saying it was all good and put my phone down. I jumped on Tia waking her up.

"WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!!" I said as she pushed me off her.

"What the heckkkk." She said sitting up.

"JC wants to meet up, he says it's important." I said walking to my closet.

"You guys have gotten pretty serious over the last few weeks. When is it going to be official!" Tia said looking for an outfit in her bag.

"I agree. And I honestly don't know! I really like him, I hope that's why he wants to meet up." I say smirking and laughing it off.

I decided to wear a light blue flowy dress with white sandals. I curled the ends of my hair and did some light makeup.

"Dang girl! I love that dress." Tia said looking at me

"Thanks! He wants me to meet at the lake at 12:00." I said looking at my phone. It's 11:30.

"You better get going!" Tia said throwing me my keys.

"Thanks!" I said catching them. " My mom already left for work so you can hang here till I get back or whatever, you have a key so just lock up if you leave!" I said

"Will do! Now go have fun with your boyfriend!" She said pushing me out the door.

"Whatever!" I said laughing and giving her a hug. "Don't burn my house down!" I said looking at her sternly.

"I won't!" She said as we both laughed.

I got in my car and plugged up the AUX. I jammed to some Selena Gomez as I drove to meet JC.

JC's POV

Everything was planned out and ready. I just had to wait. Today was the day I plan to ask her to be mine and make it official! We've gotten really close over this past month and can't let her slip away, I'm so nervous. I set up a little picnic by the lake. I heard the sound of a car pulling up. I turned around and saw Kayla pull up and get out of the car.

"Well hello there beautiful!" I say as she walked toward me. She looked stunning.

"Hello there!" She said as she reached me. " What's all this?" She said walking over to the blanket

"Just a little something for you." I said smiling at her.

We sat down and ate and talked. We talked about anything and everything you could think of. She always seemed to keep the conversation going and never let it die down once. I love that. After an hour or so of chatting and such, I decided to ask her.

"So, I wanted to ask you something pretty important today." I said looking up at her.

"Yeah?" She said eating a grape.

"Kayla Rose Walker, will you go out with me?" I said smiling at her as she looked at me.

"JC..." She started
