I woke up to find myself in yet another hospital bed. I looked around to see flowers placed on the bedside table next to me. I looked down and placed my hand on my stomach, realisation of what had happened, kicking in. Are my babies okay!?

"Liz!" I looked up to see Billy coming at me, pulling me in for a hug, careful not to hurt me. "How are you feeling?"

"Sore, confused and a little dizzy. What happened? Are the babies okay?" I felt tears well up in my eyes at the thought of if I had lost them or not.

"You were attached in an ally way by a whole heap of random guys. No one knows why they stopped or even who got you here and called me, but whoever it was, she saved your life."

"The twins?" I asked impatiently. It felt like he was avoiding the question which scared me even more.

"Baby, when you were getting attached, you somehow managed to keep them both safe. Your stomach was unharmed and so were the twins. They're perfectly fine. When you came in though they were apparently overly stressed but the doctors checked you over again this morning and they are back to normal."

"They're okay?"

"Yeah baby, they're perfectly fine," he smiled at me.

"Thank you god," I whispered as I placed my hand onto my stomach again.

"Excuse me?" I looked up to see one of the nurses at the door. "Someone would like to come in a see you if you'd like. She said her name was Leda?"

"Please let her in," I answered back before looking at a completely confused Billy.

"Isn't that your mothers name?"

"There's something you need to know and you may want to sit down for it." He did, he sat down on the bed next to me while I explained to him what happened when I visited Tyler. I told him everything that she had said to me and he sat there, in complete shock, yet so much understanding showing through his eyes.

"So you're mother is actually alive?"

"Yes I am," both Billy and I looked over at the door to see her, my Mum, standing at the door awkwardly. "Can I come in?"

"Yeah," I smiled at her.

"You're the woman who called me to tell me that Liz was here?" Billy asked, standing up so that my mum could come sit next to me since the other side of the bed had the rails up.

"Yeah, I didn't think you would have known that I was alive so that's why I didn't tell you who I was."

"You're the one who found me?" I asked in shock as she bent down and hugged me.

"Yes, I saw you on the ground and I guess the mother instincts kicked in and well, they backed off really quickly," she laughed. "How are you feeling?"

"A little sore and stuff but I guess I could be worse. Thank you so much," I grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

"No need to thank me Liz, it's about time I protected you from something." she sighed. "How are the twins?"

"They're perfectly fine apparently. I had my arms around my stomach which stopped the blows so I guess my blacked out state is smarter than I thought," I laughed, smiling at my stomach. I actually saved my babies, I did something good for once in my life.

We sat there for hours, laughing and talking about random things. She got to know Billy and Billy got to know her. It was almost as if she had never left my life, like she'd been there my whole life. The hole in my heart was slowly closing, the emptiness slowly filling. All I needed now was for the twins to be born and I think I'll have everything I need.

The doctors told me that I had to stay here for another night or two, in case of any changes, so when it was time for the visitors to leave, I felt kind of lonely. They'd let Billy and Mum stay longer than they should have, but I couldn't thank them enough. June and Mason had come up to visit me too, they were majorly shocked when my mother spoke up about what went down with her, but they were both happy that she was back in my life. I don't think I have smiled that much in so long.

Mum had told me that she has everything sorted out with my father now, so he won't be in jail for much longer so when he comes out he will be in complete shock to see her again. I told her that I wanted nothing to do with him and she understood but I know she wanted to beg me to forgive him. I could see it in her eyes. She gets this look when she wants to say more but keeps her mouth shut. I know because I get the same look. I guess I'm more like her than I actually expected. Not that I am complaining or anything.

I fell asleep with a smile on my face and my hand over my stomach. Things will get better and turn out perfectly. I can feel it in my bones.
