That afternoon I sat on the couch, staring at the tv, not actually paying attention to what was happening on the actual show, but instead I sat there thinking about what had happened with my mother earlier, as well as the fact that I have twins inside of me and I couldn't tell June or Mason until after half way, just in case something goes wrong again. At this point in time I wanted to talk to my Dad, tell him what happened like how I used to when we were close, before all this shit went down, but I promised myself not to let him back into my life, not after everything he's done, everything he's lied about. I don't need that in my life right now, not now that I have more than just my health to think about.
I looked down at my stomach and placed my hand on it, smiling at the thought of holding them in my arms when the time actually comes for them to come out.
"Are you okay?" Billy whispered in my ear, tightening his hold on me to make me lean into him even closer than I already was.
"Everything's fine," I smiled up at him, resting my head on his shoulder as I looked back at the tv.
"Well!" June shouted as she stood up from her chair, making myself and Billy jump at her sudden outburst, "I'm going to a party since Adrian hasn't shown up in a couple days. Fuck him, I need some excitement in my life, not that you guys aren't fun to be around or anything, but yeah, you get me?" she looked at us.
"Yeah, just go," Billy laughed at her.
"You want to come Liz?" she asked me, pleading with her eyes.
"Ah, nah, I think I might just stay home, not in much of a drinking mood," I laughed.
"Billy?"
"Nah, I'm staying with Liz." he kissed my forehead.
"Ew. What about you Mas, are you staying here with the lovebirds?"
"Fuck no, count me in!" he jumped up, grabbed her arm and pretty much ran out the door.
I looked at Billy in confusion, "Is something going on with those two or is it just me?"
"No, I get the same feeling, I just hope it's not true, considering Adrians plans," he sighed.
"What?" I sat up and stared at him.
"I thought you knew why he was gone?" he asked, laughing awkwardly.
"I knew he wanted to propose but I don't know why he hasn't been here for nearly a week. You have to tell me right now!" I demanded, crossing my arms over my chest.
"He's away building her dream house Liz, he wants to take her there for her birthday and pop the question, which is why he hasn't come home, he wants it done before that day and the only way that that will happen is if he works his ass off to finish it."
"Has he at least spoken to her?" I asked in shock.
"Yeah, all day every day but apparently some days she doesn't reply for hours, or uses excuses to not talk to him, and that's whenever Mason is around."
"I should talk to him, make him leave June alone."
"Well he is your brother, he might actually listen to you."
"Or get shitty, tell her about it and get her even more involved, making me look like a shitty friend."
"You overthink everything," he laughed, kissing my forehead again.
"With good reason!" I tried to defend myself and keep a serious look on my face, which failed when he poked my nose, causing me to laugh.
"Fuck you're perfect," he laughed, kissing my mouth this time. I kissed back, slowly lacing my fingers through his hair and slightly tugging at it, causing a deep moan to come out of his mouth. "Was that really necessary?" he mumbled against my lips. I smirked into the kiss as I laid down, wrapping my legs around his waist, tightly. "Now that's what I love," he smirked as he looked down at me.
"Shut the fuck up and fuck me!" I demanded, which is exactly what he did.
The next morning I woke up with an aching body. I rolled over to see Billy still fast asleep. We had managed to make it from the couch to our room last night, which was fun, but my goodness I was feeling the aftermath pretty badly right now. I looked down at my stomach and rubbed it, smiling as I thought of how much it will grow within a couple of months. Once I start to show I will have to tell everyone and since I'm still pretty skinny, it won't take long for me to start showing, considering there is two babies inside of me, not just one.
I felt movement from next to me as Billy rolled over and let out a soft snore as he continued to sleep. I smiled as I got up out of bed, carefully so that I wouldn't wake him up, and wrapped myself in a nightgown in case someone was up, before I went into the lounge room. I looked on the couch to see June passed out with a bucket next to her and Mason was on the single chair, arms draped over the sides as he snored away. They must have drank a lot last night, I thought to myself as I walked towards them, which soon turned into a bad idea when the smell of vomit hit my nose, making my stomach churn before I could feel the liquid coming up my throat. I bolted for the kitchen sink and got there just in time before the vomit came out of my mouth, waking the other two up.
"Oh shit! Sorry Liz!" I heard June call out. I gave her a thumbs up before vomiting again. "Wait, the smell of vomit never affected you enough to make you throw up, are you okay? Are you getting sick?" she hurried over to me, moving the hair out of my face for me as I continued to spew. She rubbed my back as the last of it came up, before handing me a paper towel to wipe my mouth. "What's wrong?" she asked.
"Nothing, just a little bug," I smiled at her, knowing that she wasn't going to fall for it.
"Wait, are you pregnant?" she whispered as she looked me up and down.
"What?" I laughed, not completely answering the question.
"You're pregnant aren't yoU!" she whisper-shouted at me, massive smile plastered on her face.
"What makes you think something like that?" I laughed, pulling the nightgown closer to my body.
"Vomiting, crazy mood swings, you're constantly horny now according to Billy, don't tell him that I told you that he said that," she laughed, making me blush. "Oh and you continue to zone out randomly, plus yesterday I caught you smiling at your stomach with your hand on top of it."
"Okay, yes I am pregnant but I didn't want anyone to know until I was either showing or over half way because of what happened with Tyler," I sighed.
"Oh my goodness!" she shouted as she pulled me in for a hug. "This is crazy! But a good crazy! I"m so happy for you!" she let go of me and smiled at me like a crazy woman.
"How could you?"
Both June and I looked over at the couch to see Mason glaring at me before he stood up and took off out the door.
"Mason!" I called out but it was no use, he was gone. This is what I didn't want, nor need, to happen. Fuck!
