The Beginning

"Breakfast!"

Maryse called out from down stairs

One by one everyone came down Sat at the table

"Hello mom"

"Hello max good morning"

Maryse says placing the food on the table

"Izzy where are your brothers? Are they still sleeping? If they are go wake them up I don't want you guys being late on the first day back at school"

Izzy doesn't answer she just turns around and goes back up stairs walking down the hall to her brothers rooms
Right when she gets there she knocks

"Alec?"

Izzy called out, then she goes to jace's door

"Jace?"

Still no answer she opens jace's door
She walks out and opens Alec's door still no ones there she closes both doors then heads back

"They're not there mom"

"What do you mean not there?"

"Well I check both rooms no sign of them."

"Well maybe they left early, well I guess you need to bring them their lunch Izzy"

"Of course I do"

She mumbles to herself

"Sorry?"

Her mom asked

"I said okay.."

"Who's taking me to school ?"

"Your father is max, both of you"

"Dude wait up"

Jace calls out catching up to me

"Why did we leave so early, I could've slept in more"

Jace ask, moving his backpack more on his shoulder

"Well I have this thing ... And I didn't ask you to come you wanted to"

" just thought maybe you would like company ... Is that okay ? "

"Yeah I guess ... "

I say looking down at my phone

"What you looking at ? "

"The time.."

"Why we have awhile before school starts"

"Um yeah I know ... It's just ... Never mind"

"Whats so important? Cause ever since grade 10 you've always had a thing on the first day of school"

"I said its nothing leave it"

I say getting defensive,

The truth is... I always look forward to this day because for some reason the same guy from two years ago, bumps into me at the same time, after the first Bell rings and I know it's weird but I like seeing him I only see him a few times but since he's older we didn't have classes together so hopefully we have some this year ... I'm not gay, Don't get me wrong but Who knows maybe its fates way of saying we're meant to be together... Like when he bumps into me I feel like there's a connection ... If that makes sense.

No one says a word the whole way to school

I open the school door for Jace and me we walk in seeing already a bunch of students roaming the halls

"Why would they want to come here so Early, damn their lives must be boring"

I just rolls my eyes ignoring him walking to the office Jace close behind me
