Where Is She

"Where is she?" Bom asked as soon as Sanghyun open the front door of their house. Sanghyun was taken aback from Bom's question but he need to keep calm and think of something reasonable and justifiable for him to say. Bom's quite smart and witty. When it comes to telling lies, you can never outsmart someone like her. She's too observant and knowledgeable that she's able to tell if you're lying or not. That's why, as much as possible, Seunghyun's always telling her the truth and nothing more.

"Come inside, first. What do you want?" Sanghyun calmly walks directly to their kitchen to get something for them to eat and drink.

"A water will do, Sanghyun-ah." Seunghyun answered. Sanghyun nodded and immediately get cold water from their dispenser. He placed the glass of water on the living room's table and sit in front of his noona and hyung.

"Dara noona's in Busan. I don't know when—."

"Tell us the truth, Sanghyun." Bom's intently gazing at him and it's not putting him in at ease.

"She—she's really in Busan, noona. She said she'll stay at our grandmother and grandfather's house for the mean time." He said and gave the couple a small smile.

"Sanghyun, we both know that Dara's not in Busan because you're grandparent's place is too big for her. Her things are not in her apartment. The land lady also told us that her apartment is for rent already. Tell us, Sanghyun, where is Dara?"

Sanghyun deeply sighed. He wants to be protective of her sister but this is his Bom noona they are talking about. She will keep on asking until the person decides to give up and tell the truth. She's scarier than the investigator and police themselves. She'll squeeze the truth out of you like you're just some kind of fruit.

"Noona went abroad." He softly said.

"What?! Where did she go? Why didn't she tell us before?" Bom got bonkers because of the information. She's not a different people from Dara. She's her bestfriend, a sister from other mother. How could she keep something from her? If she and Seunghyun didn't try to contact her and go to their house to catch some information about her whereabouts, she wouldn't know that she flew away from Seoul. It's making her go nuts. Like why in hell Dara didn't tell her that she went oceans apart from them? She felt betrayed and it's hurting her.

"Uhm, that's classified information, noona. Actually, Dara noona doesn't want you guys to know that she flew away from here. Mom tried to stop her, but she stands for her decision. She really wants to go away. And she even said that I should've just told you that she's just in Busan so you guys won't freak out."

"Huh!? Is she crazy? She's been gone for two weeks already. She didn't even bother to call just any one of us, only one person, Sanghyun-ah. But she didn't give a damn freaking call!! Or just a freaking SMS!" Bom yelled. Seunghyun caressed her shoulders and guide her to sit again on the couch. Sanghyun felt sorry about it so he looks straight to his Bom noona's eyes.

"Bom, watch your mouth, please. Aunt Ji Hyun might hear you."

"I'm sorry, Babe. Sorry, Sanghyun but... I am so angry right now that I want to kick her skinny legs." She even gritted her teeth to show how angry she is.

"Thank you, Sanghyun. But can we at least know where she decided to live?" Seunghyun asked while hugging Bom who's already crying on his shoulder.

"She's in New York, hyung."

"New York?!" Bom's ears perked up upon hearing it. "Then, I should tell Mom to find Dara. Babe, you should book a flight for two. Please? I need to see her." She looks at Seunghyun with her eyes swelling from crying. Seunghyun wipe her tears away.

"Noona, you should not tell the others that Noona's been away from us. Please, promise me?" Sanghyun asked. Bom just nod her head but she suddenly thinks of Chaerin and Minzy. Those two might be worrying for their unnie, too. Chaerin didn't know about this since she moved out of Dara's apartment, two weeks after Dara was discharged from the hospital.

"But Chaerin and Minji might..."

"Fine, Noona. You're so stubborn." Sanghyun scowled at her.

"Ya! You..." Bom is ready to fight Sanghyun but the boy was just chuckling at her.

"Sanghyun-ah, I am booking a flight after two weeks, you want to come with us? Seunghyun offered.

"Yes, but... hyung, Mom needs me here. So, I can't go with you."

"Tabi!" Bom slapped his shoulders and he groaned. "Why should we wait after two weeks before we can go to New York? I need to see my Dara."

"But babe, I still have work that time."

"Then, I'll go alone. You stay here." Bom said, irritated before rolling her eyes.

"No, Bom. You won't go and you can't, unless I am with you, alright?"

"Hmp, I'll still go. I need to see her right now."

"Noona, you just need to wait for two weeks. It's just been two weeks since Dara noona left, at least give her some time for herself." Sanghyun said while Seunghyun just nod his head in agreement.

"But Sanghyun-ah, New York isn't that safe. There are goons who are walking the streets at night. Dara might passed by them and God knows what could've happened to her. Dara's a beauty, a head turner, and a freaking goddess. My gosh, what if..."

"Noona!! Hey!"

"Bom, don't freak out. Sanghyun's right. Let's wait for two weeks and we'll go. I promise. Our flight won't be delayed."

"Noona, Dara noona's okay in New York. She's running some errands for some New Yorker and she's living in Manhattan. The apartments there are great. It's look like a house. You can stay at her apartment if you want."

"What's her job? She can't even carry a gallon of water. Some errands in New York is harder than you thought, Sanghyun-ah."

"No, noona's already friends with some of them. They are kind. I even talk to them and they said that they will take care of Dara noona. Even the one who manages the apartment she's staying in loves Dara noona's personality."

"See? Bom, you know Dara. She knows how to mingle with people and she knows it by nature. It's Sandara Park. What could you expect? It's not like she won't get a decent job to earn a living. Trust her and don't worry, okay? It will just stress you out." Top said, his hands on Bom's shoulder and squeeze it a little.

Bom just deeply sighed because she knows for herself that she can't persuade the boys to follow her and do everything she wants just to see her bestfriend.

"Sanghyun-ah, we're going. You can tell your noona to expect us in New York after tw—."

"No! Don't tell her, Sanghyun. I want to surprise her. Don't you dare tell her or I'll cut your tongue." Sanghyun gulps, afraid of Bom's wrath if he accidentally tell her noona that her other noona named Bom will be there at her place together with her boyfriend. Sanghyun's afraid of Dara but more afraid of Bom, who knows when Bom is true to her words. She might really do what she says as a punishment for your mistakes. She's really scary.
