** present day **Avery's family waits patiently for any more news about their daughter.
Andrea is trying so hard not to cry in front of her children where Mark let's out all his emotions through his tears.
Alissa and Sam don't know what's going on. All they know is that their older sister is gone.
Alissa cries every night and every day for her sister that's in a coma. Sam doesn't know what to think.
He soon misses all the arguments he once hated that came between him and his sister.
Their family hasn't been the same since their beloved Avery has been in a coma.
A doctor walks into the waiting room and calls out the family's last name.
They all look at the doctor with dried tears stuck to their face. They all get up slowly dreading the news.
"Avery is showing brain activity. All we can do now is wait. We're surprised her brain is functioning considering the accident was really bad." The doctor tells the family with a voice full of sympathy.
The do to has seen this many times, but normally the patient doesn't wake up.
"C-can we s-see her?" Mark struggles with his words, dying to see his daughter.
"Yes, just be careful." The doctor replies with sad eyes.
"Thank you doc." Andrea mumbles walking to the unfamiliar room full of machines.
Alissa and Sam hold hands walking behind their parents. Wet tears begin to run down their faces as they get closer to the room.
"Is Avwy gonna be okay?" Alissa cries to Sam.
Sam looks down at his younger sister and tears begin to run down his face. Matching his little sisters.
"I don't know. We just have to wait." He replies sadly as they follow behind their parents.
When the family reaches her room Mark pushes open the door and as soon as he sees his daughter lying on the hospital bed his hand covers his mouth.
He slowly walks in the room as fresh tears fall down each of their faces.
"Mommy why is there things in her?" Alissa cries. She doesn't understand what's happened to her older sister.
All she knows is that she's looks asleep. She's too young to understand.
"Sam, take your sister and wait outside the door. Dad and I will be just a minute." Andrea replies.
Sam nods and grabs his little sisters hand leading her out the door.
Andrea and Mark pull up a chair and hold their daughters hand.
"Please come back to us, Avery. We're not the same without you. You m-mean so much to us. Avery if you can hear me, you need to pull through. You have a life to live, a-a big future in store for you. You're such an amazing girl and you deserve to live your life to the fullest. P-please come back to us Avery, please." Andrea whispers to her daughter hoping for a miracle.
"What're we gonna do without her Mark? What're we gonna do?" Andrea cries as she leans her head on her husbands shoulder.
"I don't know, but I do know we need to have faith. We need to have faith that she'll come back to us." Mark tries to comfort his wife as fresh tears roll down their cheeks.
The door creaks open and the same doctor walks in.
"Visiting hours are over. I'm sorry." The doctor mumbles as he walks out of the room.
The couple sighs and head out of the room to bring their other children home.
They take one last look at their daughter and walk out of the room.
