Matthew's POV
To say Lydia was surprised would be an understatement. When we pulled into the parking lot, it took her a good five minutes to stop freaking out after I told her all of the singers that would be there. She kept screaming about Hunter Hayes.
"Isn't he like 15?", I scoffed.
"Try 25, dumbass!", she retaliated. She was cute when she was angry, even when she was defending another guy.
"Well, what's so amazing about him that makes girls go wild?"
"Well, his amazing self plays the guitar AND sings AND he's super sweet AND he's totally gorgeous", she dragged on.
"All characteristics I have been blessed with as well" I replied. She rolled her eyes and followed me through the crowd of sweaty teens piling up at the ticket stands.
"It's literally 11:00, what kind of concert starts mid-day?", she enquired.
"It's a festival, so it's actually all day. It'll start in an hour and singer by singer will perform until midnight tonight.", I explained.
"That's so cool!!", she gushed.
"Never been to one? But you live in Tennessee?", I questioned.
"Tickets are crazy expensive, at least for performers like these.", she explained. "How did you manage to snatch these?", she added.
"Uh, my group of guys actually hooked me up.", I explained. "They're actually here, if you want to meet them?", I offered.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun!", she agreed.
After getting our vibrant ID bands in exchange for our tickets, we made our way through the open field of people, finding our way back to our seats near the giant stage. I hope the guys behave themselves.
"Mathew!", "Who's this?", "Hey!", "Meet someone already, Matthew?", was yelled at me I lead Lydia towards my friends.
"Hey, guys." I snuck my arm around Lydia and protectively put my hand on her waist. "This is Lydia, she's Bill's granddaughter", I warned. A humorous chorus of "ooo, Bills little girl" was heard. I squeezed Lydia's side. "We'll have to entertain her for the summer", I added. The guys laughed. "This is Nick, Adam, Ben, and Holden." All the boys nodded and gave 'hey's'. Then Holden reached his hand out and Lydia pulled away from my hold to shake his hand.
"Where ya from, Lydia", Holden asked.
Why was he talking
"Tennessee", she shyly responded.
"Alright, so I guess you know these singers, country girl", he teased.
I started to get jealous already.
