For the first in quite a while, Alyssa felt like a teenager who had just started her first relationship. The only thing that prevented her from saying she was having the best day ever was the fact that she wouldn't be able to talk to Amanda for a while because she was going to Atlanta as part of her workshop so that would have her busy for the time, other than that, Aly's day was perfect.

Alyssa got to work pretty early, except for the cleaners she was the only one on her assigned floor but she didn't mind. With roughly forty five minutes before Chase arrived, Aly decided to get an early start to her day. As she waited for her computer to start up, Aly took a sip from her coffee and proceeded to type but one thing kept bugging her mind and that was Chase and what he did last night not once but twice. His face was not pleased when he saw her with Nate and how he said "Date", it was laced with disgust. Then when she was standing at the door waiting for Nate at the restaurant, she looked back to see if he was coming and her eyes made contact with Chase's; he was laughing and having fun with his date but the minute Nate returned and placed his hand on the small of Aly's back his eyes shot poisonous daggers in their direction.

Aly couldn't and still can't figure out why her boss cared about what she did. She was on her personal time and her job description outlined nothing regarding her dating; not that it was anyone's business. Shrugging the thought off she carried on with her work.

Who the fuck was he and why was he touching her? She looked happy with him whoever he was and if they got close she'd be his... Unacceptable. Questions and thoughts crowded Chase's mind as he ascended the floors leading to his office. He was early today and as he entered his office he saw he wasn't alone; perfect.

"I take it the night didn't end as well as expected?"
Aly looked up to see my boss leaning against her office door with a smirk on his face.

"You're right, it went WAY better than expected and for future reference sir, with all due respect my personal life is not up for discussion" She replied with a sharp icy tone.

"As your boss everything is up for discussion and for future reference Ms Laurence, be careful of the tone you use with me"

Apparently she had struck a nerve with that answer but Aly really didn't care, She was an adult, maybe not as rich or successful as some are but still an adult who just like everyone else expected some level of respect where necessary but Mr Callaghan constantly forgot that. After snapping at her,he had left his previously occupied spot to a location Aly neither knew nor cared to find out. The clock on her computer was showing 9:03 am so she got up to go get Chase's coffee before he started with the bitching but stopped to accept an incoming call.

"Callaghan Corp, Good morning, Alyssa Laurence speaking, how may I help you?" Aly asked as politely as her mood allowed.

The caller was a male who identified himself as James Lincoln, some associate of Mr Callaghan who would like me to inform him that their previously arranged meeting for noon today would be postponed until further notice.

After the call ended Alyssa proceeded to relay the acquired information.

"Excuse me sir" She began as she approached his desk "Mr Lincoln asked me to inform you about the postponing of your arranged meeting till further notice. He didn't state a reason, just that he'll get back to you soon. You however have a meeting with representatives from Burton Corp at 10:am then a conference call with your Dubai branch hotel manager at 1:45pm but since your noon slot has been cleared, I could go ahead and arrange for that call to take that place then see what else can be adjusted"

"Thank you Ms Laurence, I can't say I'm not impressed. I'll deal with James later and about that meeting coming up, as my PA you're required to be present to take notes, appointments etc and that call, don't reschedule, I have other plans for that time" He said as he closed his laptop and began arranging some documents in a folder. His attitude changed completely, instead of arrogant and difficult he was back to how he was the day they went shopping, calm and pleasant.
