I walk into the auditioning room and introduce myself to the judges.
"Hi, my name is Abby Hudson, I'm fifteen, and I will be auditioning for the role of Taylor."
A guy who's sitting next to Jack asks me what page my dialogue is on.
"Um, it's on page fifteen."
The judges all turn to page 15 in their librettos and I begin my audition. I had chosen one of my favorite scenes, the one where Taylor and Michael tell each other that they are both electric kids for the first time. I feel pretty confident about my voice and body language, but I just don't know if they will think I am right for the role.
Once I'm done, I slowly walk out of the audition room and walk with the other kids to the dining room. Steven jogs up to me and asks how I think my audition went.
"Umm...I think it went pretty well. I mean, the judges looked, well, at least a little impressed. I just hope they liked me enough to make me Talyor....oh, by the way...who did you audition for?"
"Oh, I auditioned for Quentin. 'Cause I think he looks like me."
"Well if you make it, I wanna call you Q."
He laughs and gently punches my shoulder. "Sounds fine to me."
I think I have a crush on him.
