Tasha? Seriously? Why Tasha? I thought he disliked Tasha? Is he dating Tasha? Ugh!
"Spencer, are you coming with us to check out the avenue?", my mom asked from downstairs. "No, it's alright. I'll stay here and finish unpacking", I replied while tiwlring my golden brown hair around my finger. I couldn't stop wondering if he and Tasha were together...I mean why would they be together? They were never friends before! I bet she doesn't know his favorite movie, his favorite quote and his favorite candy. Well...ugh! I don't know!
I finished unpacking and lined the boxes downstairs for the garbage...that reminds me...what is the garbage schedule over here? I bet they don't even get garbage schedules! They probably have fairy garbage people that poof it away! I found myself walking aimlessly and ended up at a park. It was beautiful! There were daisies and a bunch of different colorful flowers popping out of the ground and the trees were just perfectly over the park to stop the heat of the sun. I was walking over to the swings when BAM! Something hit me in the head and I fell onto the floor. I saw stars and my head was pounding. "I'm sorry. I'm not that good at football, but I really want to make the team", a rather good looking boy explained while helping me up. He had a perfect smile and his hair was a perfect golden blonde with blue eyes. His cheeks were a little red from either embarasement or the heat outside. Some parts of his hair were sticking to the sides of his face from the sweat. "No biggie", I replied while rubbing my head. "Are you okay?", he asked while throwing the football to his friend to give me all his attention. "Yeah, just a little dizzy. That's all", I answered while looking into his eyes. I quickly looked away. "What about I take you for something to snack on or something to drink? Like soda or fresh juice. As an apology", he smiled while doing a hair flip to get his hair out of his eyes. I nodded and smiled. "But wait...what about your friend?", I asked. "Who Robert? Ha! He won't care...he has to go home anyway", the boy chuckled.
He said bye to Robert and I just waved and then we went to go get drinks at Starbucks. We sat down with our drinks and started a chit-chat.
"So do you normally throw footballs at girls' heads to get their attention?", I teased.
"No ha! I'm actually sorry about that, I just really want to make the football team...doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon", the boy chuckled.
"I never got your name...mine's Spencer"
"Mine's Jake. Are you new here? I've never seen you around"
"Yeah, we just actually officially moved here today"
"Oh cool, from where?"
"Roseberg...I know, it's not the best town"
"My grandpa lives there...I love it there. Everyone is so friendly and kind over there"
"Tell me about it. You're the only one that greeted me...and I've been visiting for a while"
"Well yeah, everyone here are stupid...i wouldn't blame ya if you felt unwelcomed"
"How long have you lived here for?"
"A while...more than I can count"
"Wow"
"Yeah, so are you going to start going to school here too?"
"yeah, I have no choice"
"Well, lucky for you...I go to school here too"
"Obviously"
"yeah...that was a little stupid wasn't it"
"Ya think"
"But yeah, here's my number"
