New Heights

Is that normal...am i normal...?

   First day of school...oh my god..No! Can I please just go back to my old school?! Please I would do anything to go back...oh god Spencer...the school is right there. Mom please...no...no! No don't press the brakes no no no! I want to go back home! No mom no please no! "Enjoy your first day hunny", my mom smiled while unlocking the doors. I gulped. This could not be happening...no! Everyone was wearing high fashion clothes...everything was name brand...do I even fit in? "What are you waiting for?", my mom asked while staring at me. My hand was on the door handle...but I just couldn't get out of the car. I couldn't do it! Not now...probably not ever. "Spencer, come on. I know you're scared, want me to walk you inside?", my mom asked. That's worse...i guess never is now! "Bye mom love you", i said quickly while leaving the car. I waved goodbye. Some people would pay no mind to me and just keep walking with their snobby attitudes...and others would stare at me like if i was an alien or a mummy. 

    I kept my attitude positive...after all...I didn't really have the looks to make a good impression, so I wished that my personality would cover that up for me. I entered the hallway, the lockers were specially colored in all different colors and designs. "Are you here to paint my locker? I've been waiting for ages!", a girl with dark brown hair said while smacking her lips together to wear in her new shiny lipgloss. "No", i replied while shaking my head. "Then what are you doing here? Ew", she replied while eyeing me head to toe. "Leave her alone Jess. She didn't do anything to you", Jake said while coming inbetween me and Jess i think her name is. "Jake, are you actually defending her? Oh, is she one of your pity party objects that you are interviewing for the new article in the school newspaper?", Jess asked Jake. "She's new Jess. Just back off", jake replied while grabbing my arm and directing me to another area. "People are so rude", i sighed thinking that I'm NEVER EVER going to fit in! Why couldn't have I just stayed in the car?! I would've been much better. "Okay, so the begining of your first day was rough...that can change. I have a best friend who can help you out with clothes for the rest of the day", Jake smiled while guiding me to a locker that was highly decorated with pink paint and flowers. A girl with bouncy red hair opened the locker and smiled at Jake and I. Finally! The first person to smile and not give me a dirty glare. "Hey Sophie, do you think that you can spot Spencer some clothes?". Sophie looked at me and nodded. "Of course i can!" She started going through her outfits that she had in her locker and handed me light denium high-wasited shorts with fringed edges and a white crop tee. "I think this should get you through the rest of the day", Sophie bubbled. Sophie guided me to the girl's bathroom and we entered and I changed. "Wow! That looks better on you than it does on me! You should keep it as a welcome gift", Sophie smiled while making spin around. "Thanks, are you sure? These clothes must've cost a fortune!", i giggled. "Keep it, I can easily buy more! by the way what's your first class?", Sophie smiled while gabbing my schedule. "Oh yay! You have Science with me! Come on, let's get to class", Sophie added while linking arms with me and guiding me through the long highly decorated hallways to a orange and blue classroom. Everyone was staring at me with blank stares. "Cute shorts...wait aren't you that oddly fashion girl from earlier? How the hell did you change? huh? What?', Jess said while looking at me confused. "Shut up Jess. Stop picking on everyone and stop being jealous".
