"bitch who is this?" says my mum ruining the moment
"oh this is jai, our next door neighbor" I say giving her the be-nice face
"oh hello, my name is Mary" says my mum trying to be nice but is over doing it.
"oh well hello ms. smith" says jai being polite
"you can call me Mary, jai is it?" says my mum being nice for once
"umm yes, Mary" says Jai "Well, ill let you guys unpack" continues Jai
"ill walk you out" I smile.
"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow" says Jai
"Oh, I was kinda thinking, If I could walk with you to school tomorrow?" I say
"Yeah that'll be great..where do you live?" I say
"I live next door, I'll meet you at the park over there" says Jai pointing on the other side of the road
"Oh okay. I'll see you then" I smile
"See you Ashley" says jai giving me a wave.

"I'm sorry" I say trying to recover
"bitch clean up" says my mum slapping me.
Jai's POV:
when I walked out I heard Mary call Ashley straight away and she didn't sound very happy so I decided to listen. I heard Mary punch Ashley in the stomach and slap her. I feel so bad for her. She doesn't deserve all this. ashe is an amazing..wait what?! amazing...back off jai, she probably has a boyfriend.
After that I went back home
"So you met our neighbors?' says my mum
"Yeah, it's a 14 year old girl called Ashley and her mum Mary" I say grabbing an apple and taking a bite from it
"Is it just them two?" she asks
"Yeah her dad died 5 years ago. I kinda feel bad for her" I say
"Why?" mum asks looking up
"Well her mum hurts her. When I left, Mary punched Ashley in the stomach and slapped her" I say sadly
"Oh poor thing" says my mum
"Yeah" I say walking up stairs into my room. I looked out my window and saw a familiar face...
