Chapter 4

Ethan grabs my face. He starts to lean in and we almost kiss when, "Ethan, what are you doing over there?!" I look over to see Abbie and two other girls standing there. "Sorry babe." Ethan scrambles to get up and runs his hand through his hair.

"Ew, why are you here with her?" Abbie spits out. My parents had gone to unpack more stuff and left me here by myself. "Um I was trying to show her around." Ethan nervously says.

"Show her around what, your pants?" One girl says. She has strawberry blonde hair and violet eyes. "Ha, good one Angela." The other girl says. "Heaven, Angela, shut up!" Abbie turns around and slaps them both. "Ow." They both say. Heaven has brown eyes with platinum blonde hair. "Now Ethan, lets go." Abigail grabs him then pushes some of her auburn hair behind her ear.

Now I'm here alone.

"Hey mind if I sit?" I look up to see the boy I saw at the beach there. "Um, Dakota right?" He smiles and I feel weak. "Yea, Lillian right?" I laugh and he sits. "So Lilly, tell me about yourself." I look in his eyes and they're capturing me. But I can't fall for him or it'll be a love square.

Anthony, Ethan, Dakota, and little me. "In Montana is where I grew up." "Cool, I grew up in Washington." We continue to talk when my mom calls me to go home. "It was nice talking to you Lil." I got up and I walked out feeling Dakota's eyes burning in my back.

When I get home, I change into more comfy clothes. I lay on my bed and switch on the T.V when my phone buzzes. It's a text from Ethan. It says, 'Hey:)' How did he get my number? 'Hi. How'd you get my #?' I wait a few minutes for his reply. 'I found it on Abbie's phone.' Oh.

I turn off the tv and switch to music. I turn on Still Into You by Paramore. 'Ok, whatcha doin??' 'Texting you cutie.' I blush. Did he just call me cute? 'Um..... 'Thanks.' "Hey honey." My mom comes in my room.

"Hi mom." She sits on my bed and starts humming the song. "How do you like the new....." Ethan texts me back. 'Did I just make it awkward?' I silently laugh. 'Little bit lol jk<3.' Omigod! Did I just put a heart? "Lillian!" My mom shouts. "Huh." I look up from my phone.

"Who are you talking to hon?" "Um a friend." Ethan texts back, 'haha gtg lil.' I guess I blush because my mom says, "Honey, whoever it is is more than a friend." She smiles, rubs my knee then leaves.

I snuggle under my covers and fall asleep.

Ethan's P.O.V.

Texting Lillian was fun. She's really sweet and cute. Damn. I keep calling her cute and stuff, but I have a girlfriend. "Ethan honey, come for dinner." I race downstairs greeting Finley with a pat on the head as I reach the bottom of the stairs. "What's for dinner mom?" I ask after I wash my hands and sit at the table. "Um, there's a pizza lunchable in the fridge.

I sigh as I walk to the fridge and pull out the lunchable. I walk up to my room and hear rustling in the tree beside my house. I open the window and the most beautiful face is looking at me. Lillian. I can't help but laugh. "Don't laugh, help me!" When I catch my breath, I help her.

"Why didn't you just come through the front door?" I ask her. We're sitting on my bed and she turned on the song Lego House by Ed Sheeran. She smiles and says, "I don't know. I'm so stupid." She hits her hand on her head.

Lillian's P.O.V.

"Hey Lil. Don't call yourself stupid." Ethan looks me in eyes. His clear blue eyes look so beautiful. "Oh,ok." The song switches and we go on to talking about whatever. I yawn. "Hey Lil want me to walk you home?" I nod, and he picks me up bridal style.

When we're walking I hear his stomach growl. "Ethan, are you hungry?'' "Yea. I didn't eat dinner." We reach my porch. "You can come in, we had spaghetti tonight. You can have some if you like." A smile crosses his face. "I would love to!" We both run inside like little kids running to get the candy from a piñata. "Have a seat." I say breathlessly.

Grabbing the leftovers, my mom walks into the kitchen. "Oh, are you Ethan? My daughter talks non-stop about you, I think she dreams about you, she's always saying how cute you-" I jump in front of her. "That's enough mom!" I push her out of the kitchen looking back to a laughing Ethan. I thought he was laughing so much, his head was going to pop off.

I slap his leg and pout, "It's not funny Ethan fucking whatever your last name is!'' Between laughing he says, "It's Thompson." I heat up his food and set it in front of him. "Yum, this is good." He says eating very ahem, manly.

After he's done eating we go up to my room. "You're erm I mean your room is cute." He laughs nervously. "Sit." I say and point to the bed. I sit down with him and turn on the T.V. "So, Lil, you start school tomorrow huh?" I fiddle with my fingers. "Yea, I'm kinda nervous." My mom walks in the room. "Ethan, your mom called. Up to go!" She smiles and walks out. "Bye Lil." "Bye!" I say a little to cheerily.

He walks out of my room and goes downstairs. I watch him out the window as he walks home. He looks in my window and sees me. He waves. I smile and wave back then close the curtain.

I look in my mirror. My brown hair looks messy, my grey eyes looking the same as always, ugly. I sigh and a tear trickles down my face. Why can't I be pretty as Abbie? "Knock, knock, I'm home." I wipe my face. "Hi daddy!" I say as I open my door.

"Hi princess." He chuckles as I hug him. "I've got to go, bye hon." My dad lets go of me and leaves. I close my door and walk over to my closet.

I pull out various outfits. I try the first one on. "Ew, my stomach." The next one, "Why are my thighs so big?" And finally the last one. I start to sob, "Why can't I be skinny like Abbie?"

I didn't hear her come in. "Lillian, did you say something?
