Chapter 7
"Tristan! Are you ready yet? C'mon! We have to leave in 5 minutes! Hurry up!" I yelled down the hall to the guest washroom at him.
"Yeah! I'm coming." He yelled back. He opened the washroom door and stepped out in his tuxedo adjusting his tie.
"I'm a girl and girls take for-EVER to get ready and here I am, done getting ready before you." I smiled, adjusting his tie for him.
"Violet! Tristan! Hurry up! The limo's here and is waiting for us!" Sky yelled up the stairs to us.
Both Tristan and I chuckled. "Shall we?" He asked politely while laughing, sticking out is elbow for me.
I laughed at his goofiness. "We shall." I replied, linking my arm through his and walked down the stairs elegantly. 'Elegantly'.
"Aw! Don't you guys just look so beautiful and handsome." My mom said joyously snapping pics of Sky, Tristan and I.
We piled into the limo one by one. First, my mom, then Sky's mom, then Sky, me and last Tristan.
Once we got to the reception, where the wedding was held, we rushed Sky and Katelynn (Sky's mom) in to get changed and ready. Only Tristan was left outside in the hall.
I helped Sky do her hair and makeup while my mom did Katelynn's. Sky was Katelynn's Maid of Honor.
I smiled at the finishing touches of Sky's makeup. She looked absolutely gorgeous and stunning. "Tahdah!" I said spinning her chair around so she can look at her reflection in the mirror.
"Oh my gosh! You. Have. To. Do. My. Makeup. Everyday. Like this." She said pointing to her face.
"Haha. Not gonna happen. I've got my own makeup to do in the morning for everyday." I said back pointing at my face.
Sky gave me the pouty puppy dog look and batted her eyelashes. "Pweassee?"
"You already know my answer and that is a nooo." I playfully scolded her. I left the room to leave her and Katelynn some privacy to change into their wedding dress and maid of honor dress and some mother-daughter pep talk and stuff. I met Tristan back out in the hall, leaning against the wall, waiting patiently.
"Okay. I just finished doing Sky's hair and makeup and I don't need to do anything else, so, let's go and wait at our seats." I gestured walkin through the hall and into the big room full of rows of chairs lined up perfectly. Not one out of place.
We took our seats in the reserved area at the front, watching the priest and pianist set whatever they needed up. About fifteen minutes later, they were done and people have started arriving and were outside greeting one another, taking pictures, talking and laughing. We took that as our cue and got up and trugded outside to greet people and lead them back inside to their seats.
As soon as everyone was here except the bride, maid-of-honor, groom and the best man, in their seats, the doors were closed.
"Ladies and gentlemen. We are gathered here today for the marriage of Nicholos Holland and Katelynn Kingsley. Now, please welcome Nicholos Holland." The priest anounced.
The giant doors at the back of the room a.k.a the main door to the room, opened and I could've sworn my eyes were about to pop out of my skull. Behind Nicholos Holland was...
"What is he doing here?!" I whispered over to Tristan, who seemed to have the same reaction I had. Oh. My. God. I should've known! How could I have not seen this coming!? He even told me this! How was I not able to put the puzzle pieces together? It was right in front of my face to whole time! Ugh! I'm so stupid!
"Oh. Mygosh! He's the son! They're the people Sky told us about. Tyler is the not-so-mysterious-anymore son of the groom!" I whispered again, nudging him in the side.
Tristan's face immediately enlightened with disgust. "I hate him so much." He whispered to me. Why was that so? Have they had an encountering that made him hate him so much? I don't think so. Then again, I could be wrong.
"Why? Did he do anything before?" I cocked an eyebrow questioningly.
"He thinks he's the shit around here but he's not." He replied, his eyes still trained on Tyler as he walked down the isle behind his father.
"Now please welcome, Katelynn Kingsley!" The priest announced again. The doors opened once again. Everyone's attention was averted towards the bride, watching her every movement. The pianist started playing the wedding song and the maid of honor took lead walking down the isle followed by the bride.
At the end of the isle was the platform. As soon as Sky reached the end of the isle, she walked up the two steps onto the platform and took her spot behind the bride.
"Now, I ask you to face each other and take each others hands. Do you, Nicholos Holland, take Katelynn Kingsley to be your lovely wedded wife?" The priest asked after they finished their vows.
"I do."
"And do you, Katelynn Kingsley, take Nicholos Holland to be your husband?"
"I do."
"I now present you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Without further questioning, they kissed and people cheered and clapped. So did I.
There was a fifteen minute intermission before the after party and dinner. During that time, Katelynn, Nicholos and Tyler have gone back to change but Sky had stayed back for a bit.
"Oh my goodness. TYLER'S THE EFFING SON MY MOM TOLD KE ABOUT!" Sky screamed.
"We are just as surprised as you are." Tristan grumbled. "Now that he's your new step-brother, that means he gonna be around more often."
Skylar's POV
The huge doors opened and I walked down the isle in front of my mother. I smiled and scanned over the sea of people and found Tristan and Violet at the front or well from where I am now, at the back. I didn't look anywhere else but just at my best friends here supporting me. Just at the thought of that that made me smile with more confidence.
When I got to the end of the isle and walked up the two steps to the platform. I looked back up and saw Tyler.
My heart was pounding! What?! He's going to be my step-brother?! Eeeww! FML.
Violet's POV
"Hey babe. I didn't know you were gunna be here. I'm not gunna bother you right now but just remember to save me a dance." A voice whispered in my ear from behind me.
I turned my head only slightly so I was kinda-sorta looking at my shoulder but I wasn't and grinned.
Tyler's POV
Violet looked so damn fucking sexy in an all sequenced, red, three-quarter-sleeved dress that reached to mid-thigh, hugging her tight in all her curves. And her beautiful shoulder length blonde hair was loosely curled.
She was with her friends, one of them now my step-sister. That means I can be near Violet with out being all creepy. I know when I said I can be near her sounded creepy but what I meant was I can be around them and not be questioned for why I was there. If I were to get questioned, my answer would just be a simple "because I want to check on my baby step-sis".
I walked up behind her and whispered, "hey babe. I didn't know you were gunna be here. I'm not gunna bother you right now but just remember to save me a dance."
She turned her head alittle bit so she was kinda looking off to the side or maybe her shoulder and smirked. I took that as an okay and left to find some bitches to dance with while I waited for Violet.
