"Wake up, Ashlyn" I heard a gentle voice say to me. I opened my eyes to see a concerned Ryan, crouched down to my level "Are you okay?" he asked quietly. "Yeah, I'm fine." I sat up on Ryan's bed and rubbed my eyes. At this point I probably looked like a sickly raccoon.

"Um, Ashlyn, I was wondering if you wanted to come to band rehearsal with me and Brendon. We play in a band with our friends, Spencer and Jon.''

"Uh, idk Ryan, I don't want to intrude." I said, shyly. "You wouldn't be! We actually practice down the block at Spencer's Grandmother's place." "Ok," I said, "But can I take a shower first?" "Ofcourse," Ryan replied.

Ryan loaned me another T Shirt to wear. This one was of the Smashing Pumpkins. I loved their song called "Tonight Tonight". I put on my jeans and converse after the shower and slipped into ryans tee. I reapplied my eyeliner and looked in the mirror. I thought I looked decent.

I walked out of the bathroom greated by an ever so smiley Ryan. "Wow, you look great," he told me. I thanked him and walked into the kitchen. Brendon made a good breakfast, he was actually a fantastic cook. The three of us sat at the breakfast table and the two told me all about the band.

My ex boyfriend Jonathan was in a band. I didn't know much about it -- he would leave and go like 4 hours away to another town or something every weekend to play with them. I didn't care too much either.

Apparently their band is called Panic! at the Disco -- funny how they have an exclamation to it. Brendon explained how he liked the character it added. There were four members - Brendon, Ryan, Jon and Spencer. I didn't know Jon and Spencer but they seemed to be like Brendon and Ryan - great guys. Ryan was the song writer, guitarist and backup vocals. Jon on the bass, spencer on the drums and Brendon as the lead vocals. They seemed like a cool group. I later found out they were signed by Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy and on some label called Fueled by Ramen or dance decay or something. I was actually excited for this rehearsal!

Ryan had written two new songs for the band to practice. One was called "Lying..." he wouldn't tell me the rest of the title. The other one was called "But Its Better If You Do".

The three of us walked 2 blocks to Spencer's grandmothers house. We walked in to the living room where there were an array of different instruments, a microphone, one boy who I knew was Spencer, because the other one was Jon, clenching his fists.

But it wasn't just Jon, oh no it wasn't.

It was Jonathan.
