Care Less

The bus stopped in Haven County and I stormed off, hoping to avoid the two oh-so-hot boys sitting behind me. From listening in on their small conversations, I found out the one with the smaller features and calm, gentle voice was named Ryan, and the one with the larger features and rather extroverted personality was named Brendon. Whatever, I couldn't care less.

I was the first one off of that bus. I stumbled over to an allyway, somewhere quiet where I could just relax. I caught sight of Ryan looking at me. What was with this guy? Why was he watching me? And again, I couldn't care less. I plopped down on a dry patch of cement and closed my eyes. The pill made my vision blur a little, but completely made everything else seem so irrelevant. Like nothing else matterd. It helped me escape and I loved it.

I noticed Ryan and Brendon walk past the ally. Neither boy made eye contact with me. 'Great' I thought to myself. 'Finally, some alone time'.

Little did I know, I wasn't alone...

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?" I heard from down the ally. I got up to run but it was too late. Before I knew it a strong man, looking to be about 25 years old and built very well, slammed me against the cold bricks, securing his hands around my neck. "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?" He screamed even louder. The tears started streaming down my face. I was in a strange town with a strange man constricting my throat against a cold brick wall. He was capable of doing so much more to me than I  would want him to do to me, and so much more than I even knew. Why Me? Was all I could think. I was speechless and unaware. The only thing I saw was his beady eyes fixed to mine.

I was snapped out of this painful state of mind and body when I heard a voice and footsteps approaching. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I heard the voice of someone familiar. I couldn't put my finger on it though. I didn't seem to understand why someone would come here for me. My mother reminded me daily that I was worthless... So whats my worth to this mystery man? Most wouldn't care less.

The strong man who was once constricting my throat was now on the floor, passed out drunk. Two boys clutched my hands and ran with me out off the ally and to a bench under a street light. I looked down at my watch. It was 3:34 am.
