Today was one of the days that Rhett and Link did not carpool. Rhett and Link would meet each other at the studio. On his way out to his car Link hears a sad rendition of a song he thought was already sad enough. The song was called She Will Be Loved. He didn't know how but the song sounded sadder than he thought it was originally intended to be.

Link couldn't help but feel sorry for the voice. It sounded heartbroken or lost or maybe even both. He wished there was something he could do. Link may not be able to do anything now but he knew something had to be done. He knew that he had to tell Rhett as soon as he got to the studio.

Link arrives at Mythical Entertainment and says hello to Stevie. He asks her where Rhett is and she says he is in their office. Link goes into their shared office and sees Rhett sitting at his desk.

"Rhett! I gotta talk to ya man!"

"Hey Link. What about?"

"I heard the saddest song on my way to work this morning."

"So? There are a lot of sad songs on the radio."

"It wasn't a song on the radio. It was this voice that I heard."

"A voice?"

"Yeah. It was a girl's voice."

"A girl's voice?"

"Yes Rhett stop making me sound like I'm an idiot."

"But you are crazy."

"No I'm not! Listen to me!"

Rhett sighs. "Fine. What is so important about this 'voice'?"

"The girl singing. She sounded so heartbroken. It sounded like she was about to cry while singing. I can't stop thinking about that voice."

"Well what do you want to do about it?"

"I was thinking about going to talk to her and see if she was ok."

"Link, I know you have good intentions but you might just scare her if she isn't already terrified already."

"But I-"

Rhett cut him off. "Don't do it!"

The rest of their day passed fairly quickly. They shot a couple of skits, a couple of GMM episodes and worked on other ideas. It was a pretty productive day but for some reason Link still couldn't get that girl's sad song off of his mind.

Link was now done with work and Rhett left for the day. Link was just leaving work to go home. When he was almost home he heard a guitar playing familiar chords. He parked the car and waited for the voice to start singing. He then followed the sound until he saw a young girl on the ground with a guitar in her lap. She was smiling as people were putting money in her guitar case. He thought to himself "she must be homeless. Poor girl."

He knew the song she was singing. He thought "she does have good taste in music for a homeless girl." This thought made him chuckle. He thought that if he joined in it would maybe just surprise her and hopefully not scare her. A few seconds later he joined in singing with "It's the sound of reality about to slap the taste out your mouth!"

Link did this right before she could get the words out herself. Emily stopped playing immediately. She just stared at Link with her mouth open for a few minutes. "Pinch me" was all she could manage to say.
