I awake to the yellow tinged light filling the darkness of the room and blinding me.

Stretching my arms, I got out of bed and straightened my hair like I do every morning.

I rubbed my eyes sleepily and almost tripped over my own feet, pulling myself up at the last minute.

Once I decided I was satisfied with my appearance, I left my dorm, my intentions to go downstairs.

As I walked down the stairs to the common room I saw luggage in every corner.

I looked around, confused.

"Oh." I said aloud to myself, coming to a realisation.

Everyone was going home for the Christmas holidays tomorrow.

I caught sight of a red headed girl and a bushy haired girl, and I beamed.

"Hermione! Ginny!" I called.

The girls popped out and into my view.

They smiled at me and greeted me with a friendly 'good morning.'

"Where's Harry?" I asked, the messy haired boy not anywhere to be seen.

"He's in detention." Hermione sighed.

"What did he do this time?" I asked.

"Nothing. Snape was being Snape." Hermione said.

"Say no more."

"Are you staying for Christmas?" I asked Fred and George.

We were in the middle of planning a prank on Draco Malfoy.

"Sure are." Fred said.

"How could we leave you by yourself anyway?" George laughed.

Oh how I love my friends.

"Are you two sure we won't get caught?" I asked as I poured the final part of our glitter shampoo into the caldron.

"So what if we do?" The twins said, chuckling.

I smiled and shook my head at their poor answer.

Fred stopped stirring the caldron and popped his head out the door for a moment, before returning to the pot.

"Crystal, go downstairs with Harry. He looks a bit down." Fred frowned.

I nodded and hopped off of the stool I was standing on before going downstairs.

"Hey Harry!" I smiled, in hope that it would cheer him up.

"Hey Chrissy." Harry patted the seat next to him, gesturing for me to sit down.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I have my first Quiddtich game of the year tomorrow. And have you seen the forecast? We're playing in a storm." Harry sighed.

"You'll be fine. I'll even put a spell on your Quiddich goggles to make them repel water if you like?" I offered.

"Sure. Thanks Crystal." Harry smiled.

Today was the Quiddtich match and Ron, Hermione, Ginny and I were walking to the pitch to watch the game.

"You know, if Hermione let me try out for the team, I could be playing today." I said, faking annoyance.

"It was only so you wouldn't get hurt Crystal." Hermione laughed, catching on.

I sighed and jumped on Ron's back so he could carry me.

"What was your reasoning for making me carry you Crystal?" Ron asked, chuckling.

"My side hurts." I said truthfully.

"You mean where your uncle did that-" Ginny's voice trailed off.

I nodded. "Yeah."

The storm was getting heavier and heavier, the raindrops growing and wind becoming icier.

I made the mistake of not bringing my scarf and gloves to the match, so I was freezing cold and buried into Ron's chest.

Merlin I was lucky to have friends as good as the ones I've got.

I took my attention away from the game for one second, only to hear gasps from the crowd and Hermione letting out a shrill scream.

I could barely see what was going on, but I could see enough to see a body falling from the sky.

I didn't immediately recognise who it was, but I think Ron did.

He tightened his grip around me and that's when I realised that the person was Harry.

I tried to get down to see him but Ron was too strong.

Hermione was also helping him restrain me so I really didn't stand a chance.

I kept trying to fight back, but I already knew I had lost the battle.

"He'll be fine Crystal." Hermione said, placing a hand on my shoulder as we walked to the Hospital Wing.

Harry had been taken there after his fall on the Quiddtich pitch.

Ron was holding Harry's broom, which had been blown to small pieces.

Professor McGonagall wouldn't let me go see Harry, saying that he needed time to recover.

I think she was just making sure that he would be in a decent state when I would eventually go to see him.

I walked into the hospital wing and I could see where Harry was, but I couldn't actually see him.

My view was being blocked by the Quiddich team, all of whom were talking about lobbing each other off the astronomy tower.

I raised an eyebrow at this, but none the less continued walking up to Harry.
