"Fred, George, I don't care if you guys have a free session that you're going to waste, I have transfiguration, and I'm going to be late. Goodbye." I said bluntly.
I ran to transfiguration, only just dodging the older students who didn't have classes.
I walked into the classroom just as Professor McGonagall asked the class what an animagus is.
"An animagus, is a person who can change into an animal form at will." I panted, taking a seat.
"Correct. 10 points to Gryffindor. However, 5 points from Gryffindor for being late." McGonagall said, clearly amused.
"What took you so long? I thought you said you were going to go get your bag from our dorm." Ginny whispered beside me.
"Your brothers stopped me. They wanted me to stay back with them." I said.
Ginny just chucked and shook her head.
The rest of the transfiguration class was quite easy, but dull.
We were just copying things down.
"Class dismissed."
Ginny and I skipped out of the classroom to go to lunch.
Just as I walked into the great hall, I was stopped by a professor who was standing with Harry.
"Miss Potter, I am Professor Trelawney." The person in question said.
"Hello." I said simply.
"Would you come to my lesson with the third years?"
I noticed it was more of a 'you have no choice in the matter but I'm going to pretend you do because I doubt you are smart enough to realise' question.
Or should I say statement.
"When is it?" I asked.
"After lunch m'dear." I nodded, knowing there was no way out of this.
I hadn't heard the best things about her divination class.
I took a seat beside Ron while Harry sat on a table by himself.
We were listening to Professor Trelawney ramble on about whatever, until I heard my name.
"Miss Potter will be joining us today." Trelawney said, pointing to me.
I looked away in embarrassment, and I saw Hermione slide in the seat next to Harry.
"She's a second year! She's not good enough to be here!" Goyle said.
I looked at my feet under the table.
"She's more capable of doing the work here than you Goyle, so shut it!" Ron retorted.
Ron placed a comforting hand on mine and squeezed it.
I smiled up at him and I caught the thankful glance Harry sent Ron.
"Drink up, yes, that's it." We were studying tea leaves.
"Yes now, take the cup of the person opposite of you, look at your books, and tell me what you see." Ron and I exchanged teacups and we were both looking at the one book, since I didn't have one.
"What's Miss Potter's fete Mr Weasley?" Professor Trelawney asks Ron.
"I'm pretty sure I see-' He paused for a moment. 'The grim."
Professor Trelawney backed away from me like I was a danger to her.
"So does Harry. He has the grim too." Hermione piped up.
"What's the grim?" A Gryffindor asked.
"The grim is one of the most powerful omens in our world. It's an omen- of death." The class gasped.
Thankfully, the bell rang, letting everyone leave to go to their next class.
"Crystal and Harry aren't really going to die are they?" Ron asked worriedly, grabbing my arm.
I think he grabbed Harry's too, but I couldn't see.
"Don't be silly Ron. I think it's a bunch of codswallop honestly." Hermione said.
"Crystal, what's your next class?" Harry asked.
"Potions." I said.
"Wait what? We have potions too!" Ron said, stopping in his tracks to take in the information.
"Oh you are all useless. Apart from Hermione. She knows what is happening. The third years and second years are having a class together today. Apparently Snape wants the third years to help the 'daft, uneducated, worthless second years get information into our thick skulls." I said.
"You're Snape's best student aren't you? Better then some of the fourth and fifth years." Ron asked.
"Yeah, apparently. I don't believe it though. Oh and be warned, he calls me Lily, not Christella. Sometimes he forgets I'm a potter too and calls me Evans. Mums maiden name." I said as we walked into the potions room.
"There will be four at a table today, not two. Two second years and two third years." Snape said monotonously.
Everyone obeyed and found their seats quickly.
My table consisted of Ginny, Harry, Hermione and I while Ron was forced to sit with some Slytherins. I sent him a sympathetic glance before taking my attention back to the front of the room.
"Today we will be making the swelling potion. Instructions under your desk, you have 90 minutes. Begin." Hermione and I didn't even need to look at the instructions and we both reached for the same ingredient.
"Do you know how to make a swelling potion?" We asked at the same time.
"Yes." We did it again.
It took everything we had not to burst out laughing at that moment.
"I see. Both of these Swelling potions are made to perfection. But I was watching from a distance and saw enough that I know Lily and Granger made both batches."
Snape went on to pick on poor Neville for the twentieth time that lesson.
"Class dismissed." Snape's voice echoed through the dungeons. Harry, Ron and Hermione walked with me while Ginny went with Luna to get ready for the Ravenclaw party.
Hermione was planing on helping me to get ready and Ron and Harry were going to be the judge of whether what I'm wearing us 'appropriate.'
In the end, I ended up wearing a pale pink dress, with a sliver elastic waistband.
"Like the dress?" I asked the boys.
They both nodded.
"Oh and Christella, no makeup for you, even if you are using Hermione's." Harry said.
I rolled my eyes, grabbed my bag, and set off to the Ravenclaw common room.
I knocked with the enchanted door knocker and it asked me a riddle.
I wondered if I could answer it myself.
"I'm tall when I'm young and short when I'm old. What am I?"
"That's easy, a candle!" The door opened and I walked in.
