Zodiac Sign Island Story

Act 2 Scene 3- Danger

*IN THE JUNGLE*
*Capricorn and Pisces walk through the jungle together with their spears in their hands, looking around slightly nervously.*
Pisces: *stopping* it's starting to get dark and we haven't found any food or water resource and we don't know where in this bloody jungle we are. We're lost.
Capricorn: *stopping in her tracks and turning to Pisces* well... Yeah we are but I'm sure we can get out of here ok. And we still have quite a while before it gets completely dark. But yeah we are lost.
*Capricorn suddenly stops and her eyes widen as she begins to sweat. She looks slightly behind Pisces who is looking worried*
Capricorn: *stuttering* the monst the monst monster. Behind you...
Pisces: what...
Capricorn: there's a bloody monster behind you. *trying to stay calm but panicking*
Pisces: you are joking... *looking really worried and starting to sweat*
Capricorn: *her voice comes out as a nervous whisper* nope... No I'm not
Pisces: what do we do? Should we move? *staying completely still*
Capricorn: no because its right there.
Pisces: *trying not to shout* well what the hell is it doing?!?!
Capricorn: I think it's creeping up to you. Oh @*!% do we run. Do we stay still. Do we run or stay still?!?!
Pisces: *taking a quick glance behind* @#%*! It's moving towards me! What is that?! We should run. Or climb a tree.
*before the two signs can do anything, the beast, with it's red eyes blazing, charges at Pisces with a roar which rumbles through the entire island*
*MEANWHILE, ON THE BEACH*
Virgo: what was that...? *sitting on the beach, nervously drawing in the sand*
Aquarius: I don't know but it didn't sound good. *looking sad*
Scorpio: *suddenly realising* what if... What if that was Pisces?!?? What if they need help?!?!
Taurus: your forgetting Capricorn...
*scorpio shrugs*
Aquarius: what if they are both in danger!
Aries: they are fine! Everyone calm. They will be fine.
Virgo: *looking on edge* how do you know though?!?! What if the monster got them?!?! How do you know they are not injured or dead?!
Leo: Virgo... Dood... Please... *rubbing his fore head*
Sagittarius: Virgo just calm down. Over the last few days you have been so on edge. Just relax.
*Virgo is hyperventilating*
*Sagittarius walks over to him and sits next to him*
Sagittarius: hey... Deep breaths yeah?
Virgo:  *trying to speak through hyperventilation* yeah yeah. Deep breaths. *trying to take deep breaths*
*sagittarius wraps her arm around him and he rests his head in her lap*
Sagittarius: it will be ok...
Virgo: *starting to cry between sobs* *speaking quietly* what if it isn't? What if we don't make it off the island? What if we all end up dead?
Sagittarius: we won't. Ok? I promise you. We won't end up dead. We will make it off the island.
Virgo: *sobbing* ok. Saggy. Thank you.
Cancer: everyone! I have just finished the help sign! No thanks to you *looking at Aquarius and Leo*
Aries: well done. Very good!
Libra: and the signal fire is up and running.
Gemini: yes. We are like survival experts!
Taurus: now we just need to wait to get rescued
Libra: yeah *looking at Taurus with wide eyes*
Aquarius: if we ever get rescued...
*sagittarius gives Aquarius an evil look then looks back at Virgo who is still upset*
*MEANWHILE, IN THE JUNGLE*
Pisces: *shouting like mad as they wrestle with the beast who is dangerously close to digging it's claws into Pisces' face* GET IT OFF ME!!! GET THIS THING OFF ME NOW!!!!
Capricorn: *holds spear in a ninja like way then charges at the beast shouting* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HEEEEEEEEYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! *stabs spear into the beast's back. The beast lets out a wild roar and it's eyes slowly become less blazing. It lets out one last breath of pain then lies silent on the floor next to Pisces*
*Pisces lies on the floor completely shocked. Their eyes are wide and they can't quite believe how close they were to death*
Pisces: *breathing heavily* woah. Wow. That was... Quite something.
*Capricorn stands proud and heroic, with her spear in her hand, her eyes wild with excitement. Her knees are muddy and she looks like a furious tribal warrior*
Capricorn: I rather enjoyed it.
Pisces: you were quite something... Thanks. You saved my life. *he blushes a little then gets up from the jungle floor*
Capricorn: it was my pleasure. *she looks at the beast on the floor* looks like some sort of tiger
Pisces: yeah it does. It was pretty powerful.
Capricorn: nothing I couldn't handle though.
Pisces: don't get cocky.
*Capricorn looks deep into Pisces' eyes and smiles a cheeky grin. She was beginning to like Pisces. Pisces looks back into her eyes and he realises that he had misunderstood this girl. She is actually alright he thought. Slowly they lean into each other and kiss. That night they embraced each other, no longer afraid of the darkness and the jungle. Together, it was as if they were somewhere other than the murky depths of the dark and dangerous jungle*
*MEANWHILE, ON THE BEACH*
*Libra is awake. He can never seem to get to sleep straight away like the others. He is always thinking too much... About what would happen if they got of the island... And if they didn't. He lies on the sand looking out at the glistening moon lit sea. He suddenly notices something unusual about it...as if there was a bump in the sea. He tries to make out what it is and moves closer. He can't believe his eyes. It's a body. An actual body, their flesh cold and grey. Libra takes a step back and he suddenly feels a sense of fear. This island is a dangerous place. He walks slowly back to his spot on the beach. He wants to remove the image from his mind, he wants to delete the permanent image of that poor man washed up on the shore. Libra closes his eyes. 'Just forget about it' he whispers, trying to comfort himself.
