I woke up in my room, and in my own bed. Last I remember I was in Hell, trying to recover my powers my father sealed up. How'd I end up back in my room? I felt a surge of energy stir inside of me. I felt different. I felt cold, internally. That made me scared. Would I still continued to feel the warmth from my love for Ruben? Something moves in my peripheral vision, and it's Ruben. He has been watching me intently, and so has the cat that sits comfortably in his lap. I sit up in my bed.

"Don't move." Ruben states abruptly.

"I'm fine." I answered, proceeding to my previous action.

"Forgive me." Ruben walks to me. "Forgive me, Michikosama." He kneels before me, and I jump out of bed so quickly I feel dizzy. I don't let dizziness over come me. I can't stand to see Ruben apologize to me, especially when has no reason to. I sit on my knees, watching him as he looks at the ground, avoiding any eye contact with me. How I wish I can tell him not to worry about me, but I can't. Truth is I want him to worry, because that's the only way I'll know he show some type of concern over me, and won't ever leave me. Even I know that he can leave just as my father did, but my silly heart holds on to intimate moments like this one.

"You brought me here, right?"

He snaps his head up, looking me in my eyes. "Yes."

"Then, I am safe, because you brought me here." I smiled at him, stroking his hair. "So, quit being worried all the time."

He looks away from me. "I can't quit caring about you."

I knew he care about me, but somehow my heart manages to stop after hearing those words from Ruben who keeps his emotion in check by keeping a poker face. "Um-" I cleared my throat from the awkward silent which was due on my part. I turn my attention to the demon cat who was in my world, but it was much smaller than I remember.

"Kuro. Come." I ordered the cat, and he willingly complies.

Ruben look at us and smile. "You already named him."

"He's mines isn't he?"

"How did you know?"

"I didn't until now." I stared down at the cat, who was purring.

Ruben strokes the cat, and it hisses at him. I only laughs at Ruben reaction. His personality seize to amaze me. "I guess he doesn't like anyone to touch him when he's in your possession."

"It figures, because he is the guardian of my demonic power that was in the sword, and now that it's in me he'll will protect me from what he thinks will harm me." I state.

Ruben stands up from his kneeling position, and sit respectively in the spot he claimed on my bed. "Why did you have a ball of yawn in your bag anyway."

"Uh-oh um when dad wasn't around I played with the stray cats that roams around the neighborhood."

"But how did you know it would work on a demon cat?"

I stop stroking the cat wild fur, looking back at Ruben. "Demon cat or not. It's still a cat." More importantly It's my cat. "If we are asking question then may I ask one?"

"You just did." Ruben replies smartly, and Kuro growls in my place. "Sorry." He rubs the back of his head.

"Where is the sword?"

"In there." He points to the diamond necklace he gave to me 3 years ago, and I am confused. What does he mean? "It's inside of the necklace."

"How'd it get inside my necklace?"

"I put it there."

"Why?"

"So, it can stay hidden. You can't be seen walking around with a sword not from this world."

"That makes sense." I moved Kuro off of me, standing up.

"Before I leave I have to tell you something important." Ruben says in a serious tone, and I stand on guard with my whole body tensing up. I nod, for him to continue. "Now that you have unlocked your demon powers your senses has awaken. You will get the urge to kill, but you have to overcome that. Do not take your sword out in public, because that is the key to your transformation. Most importantly with this power humans and demon will come after you. So, you have to stay discreet as much as possible. Don't look too suspicious. And, if you do use your sword don't let it overcome you." He says in one whole paragraph, not giving me a chance to ask questions.

He bids me farewell, and enter through the portals mouth, leaving me with Kuro and a blank stare. What was I going to do now? Life as I know it was nothing, but a dream. A dream I never thought I could wake up from, but I did. And, it made me realize I've been dreaming my whole life. This was the truth in my reality, a truth that was kept a secret.
