     Jane's POV

I felt bad lying to him, but it was for his own good. In truth, he had been out for close to a day and a half. I sat down next to his sleeping form and pulled his hand of the gouge. It had stopped bleeding shortly after I pulled the arrow out, but by his pool of blood I didn't know whether that was good or bad. It went deep, at its deepest about 3 inches, and I could see that the head of his humerus had a small fracture running through it. I stood back up and hid him under a pile of leaves, careful that nothing touched the wound, then went off in search of branches for a splint.

~Time skip to 2 hours later~

When I got back, Jacob had brushed of the leaves and was propped up against the stump of a tree. When he saw me, he gave a halfhearted grin.

     "I'll take that bath now"

"Alright, just let me find like... a pond or something"

     "I'm coming with you"

     "No you're no..."

"I AM coming with you", he coughed, "I feel horrible, and I really don't want to be alone again. You scared the crap out of me. Now help me up, please"

I sighed, grabbed him by his good arm, then pulled. With some effort, he managed to get up on his feet, and I propped his arm on my shoulder. He was lighter than I thought, and we practically glided to a spring that I had found earlier. I thought that the hot water would help clean out any bacteria in the wound. I cut his shirt to where I could pull it off without touching the shoulder, then lifted. As his shirt came off, I noticed a nasty scar on his back. It looked to be a burn mark shaping the number 17. I shivered, then moved Jacob into the water where he began to wash out the wound. I  found myself wishing for some soap or antibacterial cream. Just then, the voice came back.

HELLO, MY CONTESTANTS. THERE ARE ONLY 12 OF YOU REMAINING. AS SUCH YOU WILL EACH BE RECEIVING ONE CAREPACKAGE OF WHAT YOU NEED THE MOST. ENJOY.

I sat there, stunned. The Voice hadn't talked to me since the game start. Jacob's muscles were tensed, and I knew that he had heard it as well. My thoughts were interrupted by two boxes falling from the sky and landing gently at my feet and Jacob's. Jacob and I started ripping open the packages, but then I stopped.

     "12 people died for this"

Jacob stopped, staring at the inside of his box.

"It's three tubes. They say: Bacitracin zinc, Neomycin sulfate, and Polymyxin B sulfate. What are those?"

I snapped my head up and looked at him. "Antibiotics"

I opened my package and looked inside, greeted by a suture kit and Acetaminophen. I whispered, "What we need most", and laughed. The murderer gave us a medkit!
