Frankie
Finally! Finally, finally, finally! Lily bit me! Now our bond is sealed! We are officially mates now! I do my victory dance while she's asleep. Her body shut down quickly after our sealing. I have carried her to the bed and tucked her in. Her skin has began to pale and I can see that her body is reacting well to the transformation.
I've heard stories about terrible endings because the mate didn't turn as they should have. Sister Juliet was also on the verge of death. She only managed because there had been a blood source nearby for her, or she would've died.
Anyways, she's turned and is doing fine now. Violet has visited me once, updating me about the servants. Ever since turning my mate, the servants have become very restless. I have ordered Violet to get them all in their rooms.
After I left for the dungeon, Rose has separated mother and son again, and played a bit around with the woman. I have ordered the baby in my room.
My mate moans slightly, and rolls over to me. She wraps her arms around my waist, which makes me smile, of course. She still has her eyes closed, but I feel that she's waking up. I gently place the baby near her head, so she can smell him as she wakes.
Her nails dig into my skin as she tightens her grip. Her fangs grow out and I smell her fear. Fear? For what? I quickly scan the room for any danger, but can find none.
A sudden sharpness in my wrist pulls my attention back to my waking mate. A pair of blood-red eyes pierce my soul. Fear and bewilderment evident. I gently place my hand on her back and start soothing her.
My sweet mate is scared. Why I don't know, but I'll figure it out and fix it. As my mate drinks my blood, I look down at the baby, whom was supposed to be sacrificed for her awakening. He is curled up in a small ball of flesh and seems content.
Ugh, I'll kill him next time.
A hand crawls up my back, telling me my mate has something on her mind. Once again I turn my full attention to her, and am met by her dazzling red eyes. She sits up and shoves the baby aside. She playfully shoves me down on the bed and crawls elegantly over me. Her hands roam over my thighs.
I smirk at her, telling her to continue, but she doesn't. She gently places a kiss on my lips. Her tenderness, her softness and her gentleness haven't faded after the turning. She kisses, but I don't feel the usual passion. Something's holding her back, something's not right.
She sighs and places her face at the base of my neck. She wraps herself around me and when I think she's fallen asleep again, soft sobs ring in my ear; she's crying.
Without a sound I caress her back, not shushing her, not telling her to cheer up, just letting her experience what she feels. I pull her closer to me. My eyes close and I feel the darkness slumber around.

Lily
After Frankie silently soothes me, she falls asleep. I slip out of her embrace and take the baby. I look down on him and his chubby cheeks. He looks so cute. I may understand now why Violet wanted to keep him herself. But it's not right. When he'll be a grown up, he might bear a hatred that can destroy us, and now that I've chosen for this life, I want to live it the longest.
So I return the baby to his mother. Rose is playing with the half conscious woman when I arrive. I kindly ask Rose to leave, but she snarls at me. Not bothered by her snarl, I drag her out of the room before I close the door. It feels good to be strong enough to 'just' drag her out of the room while she's kicking and hitting around. None of her blows have any effect on me.
