Frankie
It took some effort, but Rose finally spilled her beans. Together with some other servants she was responsible for the intel of my part of the mansion for Adeline's pack. Rose didn't tell me why, but the two dogs were not aware of the coming attack of their pack. Maybe to make sure they couldn't spill beans, but it feels like there's more to it.
I consulted my brother and sister. They gave me the least pleasing answers there could be. My brother didn't want to get tangled in my shit, so he won't help. And for my sister, she said to just ignore the threat because it was unlikely for anyone to attack. I'd love to believe her, but I know these aren't empty threats and vile promises.
I could just release those two dogs and that little bundle of fur and flesh, but I doubt my love would like that. She's been bonding with them a lot and I don't think she wants to let them go that easily. Or I could try to turn everyone. I highly doubt many will survive the changing. Considering the worst, I'll have five black collars and two white collars and my mate. I can't count on those dogs to help me, that leaves me with seven servants. With a normal wolfpack that wouldn't be a problem, but the intel Rose gave me, has me suspecting there are more than the average eight pack members. Having three members here would mean five pack members left to save them, but Rose told me it was a very big pack. Whether this is true or not is unsure. But I'd rather take precautions than underestimate angry puppies.
One mistake can be your last mistake.
And another annoying matter has represented itself. Ivy has found an outlet for her sexual impulses, which is great, since I don't help her out anymore. The downside, she's screwing with Devon every opportunity she gets, which means it smells like sex all the time.
My sweet mate has discovered the library and it's hard to get her out of it. That alpha bitch is always around her. It's good that my mate has someone around her all the time, but I'd prefer Violet or Ivy. She just won't accept them either way.So stubborn. But I still love her. She's my everything. And I need to make sure she stays safe. The episode with Rose made me realize something very scary; I don't know how to protect my love when a group attack occurs. She has had no training whatsoever and my slaves aren't obedient at all. I'm pretty much on my own here. Normally that wouldn't be bad, but against a pack of unholy creatures like myself, I stand no chance alone.
"What's got you so worried, dear?" My mate asks, putting aside her book. She lays her head on my lap.
"There may be trouble on the way."
"To here?"
"Yes."
"What kind of trouble?"
"The kind that get's people killed."
"Oh." She stares ahead of herself. "What are we going to do?"
"That's up to you dear," I say.
"Do you know who they are? And what do they want?" She sits up and looks intensely at me. I won't lie to her, ever, but I'm not good with subtlety. The sentences I have prepared keep changing into incoherent rambling. They don't make sense.
"Love?"
"Well..." I start.
"Spill the beans, dear," my lovely mate says, giving me a stern but compassionate look.
"There's an attack on its way," I blurt. Her eyebrows knit together. She looks adorable and it makes me once again aware how smitten I am by her.
"What kind of an attack? Do you know who they are? Are they your enemies? How many enemies do you have? Has there been an attack before? How did you deal with it then? Is there a wa-"
