-Chapter Three~Sonja Reid-

Drew's POV~

What is wrong with me?

She isn't going to say yes.

Why would she say yes to someone she doesn't even know?

Fuck it, I'll ask her to the dance.

It's decided.

"You're a fucking idiot" Jordan snapped me out of my thoughts.

"For?" I glared.

"You know she's going to the dance with Tucker. She's a cheerleader and he's a jock. It's a classic love story" Jordan crossed his arms.

"It's worth a try" I argued.

I knew Jordan was right, but if I did have a chance I wouldn't have known if I didn't try.

"You with your 'try, try try'" Jordan rolled his eyes at me.

"Shut up, you're the one who kept trying to get into the skateboarding competition. They told you you couldn't skateboard well, and you started bawling all over me" I reminded him, "Then I told you-"

"Try, try again" Jordan repeated my saying.

I smirked.

He rolled his eyes.

"And then you finally got in" I sticked my tongue out.

"Stop thats gay" Jordan laughed pushing my face away.

Hypocrite.

I chuckled and decided to ask Sonja after school, when she's done with cheerleading practice.

~°~°~°~°~°~

I hoped she didn't show the note to anybody.

Hopefully she kept it to herself and will listen to what I had to say.

She probably gets notes like these everyday.

I sighed, I'm getting nervous.

Once I saw Sonja walking my way, where I asked her to come see me, she kept staring at the note.

In confusion and another emotion I couldn't really read since she quickly looked up at me.

"What do you need? It must be important if you wanted to meet me alone" Sonja asked smiling.

Unlike your usual cheerleader, Sonja is nice.

She's caring and respectful.

I don't think I know anyone who hates her because she is that nice.

She's beautiful too.

I snapped myself out of my thoughts and gathered up my confidence.

"Will you go to the Valentine's day dance with me?" I asked her, looking straight in the eye.

Don't look nervous.

I loosened myself up to let go of my stiffness.

She looked sorry.

That's not good news.

"I'm sorry, I'm already going to the dance with Tucker" She smiled shyly.

"Oh" I said acting surprised, "Yeah, of course"

I'm actually mad now.

Jordan was right.

I'm a fucking idiot.
