"Thanks Will, you didn't have to." I said as he paid for my water and chips. I wasn't hungry but I was grateful for the chance to sit down.
The others had already dug into their food by the time Will and I made our way over to the table Christian had found toward the back of the food court. I ate a little but mostly picked at my chips. I knew I should have been starving but I wasn't. More than anything I was exhausted. I was tired and what little energy I had was spent, leaving me wanting to just return to the hotel and crawl into bed.
"Everybody done?" Dylan asked. "Let's head back." We all stood up and threw our trash away before leaving the building. The walk back seemed to last forever, and I was seriously lagging behind the others.
"Something wrong love?" I looked up. Dylan had stopped walking and was waiting for me to catch up.
"Huh? Oh, no, just really tired." I said as I drew closer.
"Yeah, me too. I think I might skip out on going out tonight." She said wrapping an arm around my waist.
We continued on our way back to the hotel, in silence. I'd forgotten about that. Being on tour meant that Alexander's womanizing ways were in full swing. It was something that I'd just come to endure. It usually bothered me but being in the state I'd been in the last several weeks I hadn't noticed much of anything. It was sad; the way I couldn't focus on anything anymore. The rest of the way back wasn't as agonizing as the beginning mainly because by the time we finally made it back Dylan was supporting about half of my weight. I closed my eyes, leaning against Dylan as we waited for the elevator.
"We're here babe," Dylan said gently nudging me. I opened my eyes to find that we were standing outside my room, but had no memory of how we got there. Dylan used her card to open the door. Since we had a private floor our room keys were interchangeable.
"Thanks Dylan," I mumbled untangling myself.
She chuckled softly. "Night Ams." I made my way to the bed and that was it.
The next thing I remember was waking up to someone shoving me awake. It was Christian. I groaned and turned away, burrowing further into the bed. He laughed quietly, "Nuh uh. Not today Ams. I'm here to get you up and take your bags down to the bus. You can sleep on the bus if you want."
He pulled on the covers. I groaned again but reluctantly sat up. I tried to remember where the show was tonight but quickly gave up. Shuffling toward the bathroom I grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of pajama bottoms that I changed into after I took a quick shower. I ran a brush through my hair and packed up all my toiletries. I put them and the dirty clothes back in my bag so Christian could take it down. I took a last look at the room before following him out the door. Downstairs the others were finishing up loading their things and grabbing a coffee or food if they wanted. I walked tiredly over to where Dylan and Will were standing.
"Morning." They both had a cup of coffee in their hand. I just nodded in greeting, trying—and failing—to suppress a yawn.
"Guys all set?" James Hodge, the band's manager, asked as he made his way over to us.
Dylan nodded. "We're just waiting for Alexander."
"Okay. Well, you guys can go ahead and get on if you'd like. Alexander's just getting off the elevator now." We all followed James' gaze. Sure enough, a sleepy Alexander was getting off with his bag. A petite brunette was standing next to him. A wave of sleepiness washed over me and I turned away from where Alexander was saying goodbye to his 'friend.'
