It was five o'clock when we pulled into the hotel parking lot. We had three rooms on the fifth floor. We decided to go out to eat for dinner and to meet in the lobby at seven in order for everyone to have enough time to change if they wanted. My room was right in between the twins' and Will and Christian's rooms. Since I had more than enough time—the nearly two hours were mainly for Dylan—I hopped in the shower. Once out, I had to choose what to wear. Not that it was horribly difficult seeing as I didn't have that many clean clothes left. I'd neglected to do laundry because I knew we'd be home in just a few days' time. I chose a pair of black jeans, a long sleeved white Henley with a hood, and my motorcycle boots. Underneath the Henley I wore a green camisole. Now dressed, I went to the bathroom and put on a little makeup. As always I left my hair to dry naturally. I had about fifteen minutes to kill so I sat down on the bed to think. My birthday was tomorrow. I couldn't believe it. I had no doubt that the gang had been whispering about it when I wasn't in the room, though I didn't need anything. Just getting to go on tour with them was more than enough for me. I continued to ponder this until the bedside clock struck seven.

I was the first one downstairs so I took a seat next to a man in a black business suit who looked to be in his fifties. He was reading a newspaper and ignored me as I took a seat next to him and picked out a gossip magazine to flip through while I waited. I was in the middle of reading about Brad and Angelina's newest adoption when four familiar voices reached me.

"Ready?" Dylan asked.

I looked up and sighed. "I suppose. I was in the middle of learning about Brad and Angelina's latest adoption though."

Christian laughed. "Ams, you know you could care less about that stuff."

I grinned. "Maybe, but it's fun to read. Plus, the baby pictures are so cute. See?" I held up the magazine so he could see.

"Yes, yes. It's adorable. Can we go?" Alexander asked impatiently.

"What? I can't finish reading?" I got a glare in response.

"Come on." Will said, amused, and pulled me to my feet. "Let's go before Alexander bites someone's head off and decides to eat that."

There was a Chinese restaurant not too far from the hotel that we decided to try. We had just started eating when our table began to get mobbed. Apparently, someone had recognized the band and screamed which set almost everyone in the restaurant off. All we heard was a girl's scream and then our table was surrounded. The three security guards on duty immediately stepped in to try and insure that none of us got trampled. A few signatures were given out as we tried to fight our way to the door. With all the chaos, I grabbed hold of the first band member I saw which happened to be Will—which was good because his stocky build cut through the crowd much better than say, Dylan's skinny arse. All I had to do was keep gripping his hand and try not be clobbered as girls tried to push me out of the way in their quest for Will. One of the guards had called for a car when the madness started and it was waiting just outside the door to the restaurant. Will and I tumbled in to find Christian already inside. Five minutes later the twins clambered in and the car took off. It drove around for a bit in order to lose the few people who'd gotten in their own cars to follow, before dropping us off at the back door of the hotel. Nobody said anything until we'd all collapsed in my room.

"That was crazy." I declared from where I'd fallen on the bed.

"Agreed. That hasn't happened for a few weeks." Will said.

"Yeah. How'd you get out Ams?" Alexander asked. He had taken the chair that sat next to the bed.

"I grabbed the first one of you I saw and held on for dear life. It ended up being Will." I told him and gave Will a hug in thanks.

"Good. Better Christian or Will than Dylan."

Everyone laughed at Dylan who protested. "Oi! What's that supposed to mean?" She was on the bed next to on the left.

"Dyl, you have a hard time as it is trying to get out of mobs like that by yourself let alone trying to make sure Amie doesn't get run over by people trying to get to you." Will told her.

I poked Dylan. "He means that your skinny arse isn't big enough."

Dylan just stuck her tongue out, her tongue stud glinting in the light. Before anyone had a chance to say anything else, there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it to see Keith, one of the security guards that had been at the restaurant, outside with two bags in his hands.

"Though you lot might still be hungry," he said. I took the bags, handing them to Alexander who had materialized at my side as soon as he smelled the food, before turning and thanking Keith, giving him a quick hug as well. I returned to my seat, taking the take away box that Will handed me.

"How come you're giving everybody else hugs? I want one." Alexander complained as I dug into my food.

"Because," I told him around a mouthful of rice, "Will kept me from being trampled and Keith brought us food. And two people is not everybody."

"That still doesn't answer the question." He said stubbornly.

"Because I just don't like you Alexander." Everyone laughed while he pretended to pout.

"You don't have to be mean about it."

It was late by the time everyone decided to finally go to bed. Dylan and Alexander left for their room and Will and Christian headed for theirs, leaving me alone in my room. I changed and brushed my teeth before climbing into bed. I'd been hoping that I'd be able to sleep without Alexander's help but after two hours it didn't look like that was going to happen. It's not that I didn't like sleeping next to him but I didn't want him to think I was a coward because I couldn't handle horror films. After battling with myself for a few minutes, I finally threw back the covers. I opened the door that connected our rooms and made my way toward the bed closest to the window. Dylan always slept in the bed nearest the door because it was closer to the bathroom. I hoped Alexander hadn't decided to have some late night fun as I crawled under the covers. He hadn't. I sighed softly as his smell surrounded me and I was slowly able to fall asleep.
