Lana's pov

It was five in the evening and I finally got home from work. Jack and Pat were having band practice and Matt was doing his usual and playing video games. "Hey boys!" I shouted but got no reply which isn't unusual. Lola came running to me in excitement and she was barking at me like I had been gone for ages. I smelt something gorgeous and followed it through to the kitchen. Fred, bless his heart, was there making his own homemade pizza!
'Good evening Mrs Di Blasio' he said as he hugged me around the waist. 'Good evening, Mr Di Blasio' I said back, 'what do we have here?' 'Homemade pizza!' he replied. It caught me by surprise as he never does the cooking. I had a towering pile of fan mail cradled in my arms like a young child that was starting to get heavy. I was certain I couldn't get through them that night as time was getting on. I promised myself I would do it first thing in the morning as I had no work thankfully.
....
Morning came and I went down for breakfast, although I was still full from Fred's homemade pizza, which was delicious. I made a coffee, sat down at the breakfast bar and started going through my mail. Whenever I went through my mail, there was a mixture of things. Letters, pictures of myself to sign and send back to the return address and sometimes even food hampers. Every mail special in their own way. There was this one that really stuck in my head for at least two days after opening it. A scrap book, open when letters and some personal letters. The scrap book was cute and the open when letters were too but the letters just broke my heart. I loved too see how much I helped my fans but this girl seemed like she wanted to dedicate everything to me. It's a weird and fuzzy feeling to know you've saved someone's life.
....
I went on with life for another week but I was still thinking about the gift I received. The letter read 'I can't leave until you know me'. I thought it was strange how she said that, and I wanted her to know that I appreciated her gift and the time and effort dedicated into making it all. I wrote back.
