"Exactly! That's the same thing I said when I saw the numbers. For just the beta itself that was like half a million." I replied to Jeff, a business partner from Vermont. I was talking through my Bluetooth headset as I paced back and forth, squeezing a stress ball, in front of the huge window that over looked the city.
"I'm telling you, this new software is going to start a damn, revolution or something, it's crazy genius. I so envy you right now." He joked. I chuckled.
"Let us not be too envious right now. I only have a conference with the CFO. I haven't gotten the actual deal...yet."
"Yet, exactly. You already know you have your hand in the pockets of every major investor in the country. You get this deal, Eco-Tech will be on its way global. Can you say Konichiwa!" He laughed.
"Mommy!" I turned at the sound of my two boys voices and grinned.
"Konichiwa!" I greeted excitedly. They giggled not really understanding what I was saying as they ran into my arms. I squeezed them tightly and kissed their foreheads.
"Hey Jeff. I gotta go." I laughed.
"Sure thing. Hey, I will call you tomorrow when I land. Let's blow these fish outta the water. Tell Ness I said hi."
"Will do. Talk to you later." I smiled and hung up the phone.
"What are you guys doing here?" I smiled as Ness wobbled in.
"Hello Love." I pecked her sweet lips as she smiled.
"I got lonely at home so I picked the boys up early but they insisted we come and see you to lunch." She smiled.
"Really? Just in the knick of time. I was getting hungry. What are you guys hungry for?" I asked them as I plopped down beside them on the couch.
"Chuck E. Cheese!" They yelled in unison.
"What?! Chuck E. Cheese! Are you nuts!" I laughed and grabbed Mannie, tickling him.
"Pleeeeeeeeeessseeee!!!" They cried, giving me the puppy dog eyes. Like that was gonna work. I looked up at Ness and she shrugged and leaned against the door.
"Don't look at me." She smirked.
"Momma please please please!" They begged.
"Ugh! Fine!!!" I finally gave in.
They squealed and jumped around in excitement. There was a knock at the door.
"Wow. Somebody's excited." Amber smiled as she walked in with the paperwork I was waiting on. I smiled as she handed me the papers.
"What's going on?" She asked the boys.
"We're going to Chuck E. Cheese!" They told her excitedly.
"Awe fun! I wanna come!" She played.
"Mama can Amber come!" Major squealed. I looked up from my desk.
"Oh no. I was just joking guys, Aunty Amber has to work." She answered.
The boys have really taken a liking to Amber, she's only been here a couple of weeks and they are head over heels for her.
