Please Don't Run

RYKER

"See you tomorrow" sadie said suductivly as I left her house. I smirked because she was right, I would see her tomorrow but after I see everyone else.

I was running home in wolf form when my father mind linked me, "get home now. We have to talk with the neighboring pack" he said. He's the alpha why can't he deal with it himself? I always have to be involved. I growled to myself and went behind a tree and put on a pair of gym shorts.

"What did I tell you about going off when you knew we had business to discuss!", my mother barked. I just rolled my eyes and followed them to the office.

"Hello Brian", my father said shaking the alphas hand, "thank you for allowing my beta and I to talk to you today." Brian said and his beta, Joey, nodded and mumbled a thankyou before shaking my dad's hand as well.

"So what's up?" I said a little annoyed because I didn't want to be there. My dad flicked my knee and I let out a low growl at him. "As you may have heard," Brian began to speak ignoring what just happened, "there's a new pack forming and no one knows the alpha. Apparently the pack is called night star, and i believe that the more packs, the less supplies we have. I think we should team up and destroy this pack before-" I cut him off right there, "This isn't the 1950's brian! We aren't fighting for survival anymore." He ignored my comment and continued, "before they become too large and we won't have enough wolves to attack." He finished.

After a few silent moments my mother spoke up, "I have to agree with Ryker, we aren't fighting anymore. We could start something we won't be able to finish." She said and brian stood up getting slightly irritated. "But-" and this time my dad cut him off, "I'm agreeing with Maci and my son. We cant." At that brian stormed off and left the pack house without a second glance. My mom sighed, "I hope he doesn't get himself into too much trouble.".

The next morning I woke up at 6am for school. I got in the shower, threw on some dark jeans and a white t-shirt, then left in my pickup truck heading to school. My school was on unclaimed land so any wolf in any pack, or rouge, could attend.

"Ryker!", my soon to be beta, mike, called after me once I got out of my truck. "I heard night star pack is at our school" My eyes widened. "No way!" I said and then headed to the senior hallway. I closed my locker and turned around finding sadie standing there. She pushed me up against the locker and kissed me fiercely. I turned us around so now I was pushing her up against the locker. The kiss was amazing until I heard the most vicious growl, and sadie jumped into my arms which made the growl grow louder.
