RYKER

I haven't gone back to my pack in two weeks because I have been so busy searching for Ameena. i know no one is going to be happy with me when i get back and i might even lose my position as future alpha because this is not something an alpha is supposed to do, but it will be all worth it if it means i get my mate back.

i have searched through Georgia and Tennessee already looking for her and the only clue i had found was her sent on a tree 17 miles back. i don't know where she would have gone. and i don't know who to ask. While i have been searching, i came across a few rogues and lone wolves but only one decided to attack because the rest weren't stupid enough to come up to an alpha.

I heard a movement in the trees behind me but i didn't have time to turn around, i was too focused on finding my mate. I just kept running and running until a silvery white wolf leapt out in front of me, teeth bared. I growled a warning growl and tried to walk around her but she stepped in my way. We did this for about 10 seconds before i got tired of her crap and growled again, making her kneel. She laughed after she shifted while putting an oversized t-shirt on, that i didn't notice she had before, "whatcha doin, big ol alpha?," she smirked. I narrowed my eyes at her and shifted, also, but I didn't have anything to change into. I just stood there staring at the shorts i had just noticed she had in her hand. Coming to realization she tossed me the shorts and let out a nervous laugh.

"I am looking for someone, if you must know," I said, finally answering her question.

"Who?" she asked.

"A girl."

"A girl?"

"yes, her and her pack."

"how big is the pack?"

"you asked a lot of questions." i said, obviously irritated.

she smiled, "don't be so grumpy, old man, what if i was trying to help?"

"You cant help. Ive been searching for weeks. if i cant find them, you cant-"

she cut me off, "A small pack, of about 100? Led by a she-wolf? They were moving too fast, I couldn't catch the color of her though."

I looked at her with wide eyes, but then got less excited when i thought about how small the chance of her seeing my mate's pack was, "I don't know the color of her wolf or how many members of the pack there is. I don't know anything."

"How do you expect to find them then?"

"Ill know my mate when i see her-"

"AHA! YOUR MATE! I KNEW IT! she ran from you?" she asked, looking at me with pity in her eyes.

I let out a sigh, "yea, sorta." , "I'm sorry, ....." she said looking at me with wonder circling her eyes, and then I realized, "its Ryker," and she struggled to hide a small smile, "I'm sorry, Ryker. oh, and I'm Jaqueline." I nodded a thank you.

"I should probably keep looking. I have to go back to my pack soon and I would like to bring Ameena with me when I go." I said, starting to slip the shorts off that she gave me so I didn't shred them when I shifted back into my wolf.

"I could help you find her?", she asked nervously and I smiled, "you're welcome to join me, Jaqueline, but you don't have to." and she took her shirt off, and shifted quickly. I just now took in the beauty of her coat, but I don't think any wolf could be more beautiful than Ameena and I haven't even seen her wolf. But Jaqueline was a silver white with a pitch black right front paw and bright glowing green eyes. She barked and it was then when I realized I hadn't shifted yet and I was still standing naked in front of someone other than my mate. Guilt filled my chest as I shifted into my large grey wolf.

I looked at Jaqueline and then took off at a jog further into the forest not knowing exactly where I was going.

AMEENA

We finally got to Canada a little over a week ago, it took us five days to get here from Georgia. I used the money I had saved incase this happened, to buy a new pack house and we were all just settling in.

I was standing at the window looking out and thinking about Ryker when I heard Sabrina walk in, "Hey Ameena?", I turned around to face her. "Are you okay?", she asked and a small smile appeared on my face, "don't worry about me, Sabrina. I'm okay now that my pack is safe and I promise I wont make the same mistake twice." and I hugged her. She pulled out of the hug and smiled, "the hunters just went out to get food, wanna join them?", hunting was one of mine and Sabrina's favorite things to do when we were traveling alone. We used to always compete to see who could catch more rabbits, "First one to catch 10 rabbits and bring them back to the pack house wins," I yelled running out of my bedroom, "anyone is welcome to join us!", I said even louder so the whole pack could hear me.

I could already see members of the pack shifting into wolves of all different colors and sizes. I was a silvery white wolf with four pitch black paws and glowing green eyes. I was larger than the rest of the pack because I had alpha blood running through my veins. I ran a few hundred feet and then stopped to howl up at the sky, my pack doing the same when they heard mine.

It had been a few more weeks since we arrived in Canada and every passing day I would grow sadder and sadder without my mate. If Ryker would have marked me before we left, I would start growing weaker but thankfully, we never got a chance to do that. I started thinking about him marking me and a tear slipped down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and decided to go for a run to clear my head since most of the pack went out with Dallas, Sabrina, and Greyson (Dallas's little brother) to shop for some essentials and possibly find a job. I wanted to find a job and support my pack but being an alpha I didn't have time to work. I had paper work to fill out and now, I need to start going to neighboring packs and telling them we exist.

I was running in the forest for awhile when I came across a river I didn't know was there. There was a giant waterfall at one end of the river and the water went on for miles. I decided to go for a swim since it was very hot in wolf form with all of my fur. Plus, my light colored fur gets dirty really easily. After about 30 minutes of swimming Trinity, one of my pack members, mind linked me, "Hey, Meena, everyone is home and its getting late. We know youre an alpha and all but we are starting to worry, are you alright?", I smiled at their concern, "yes, trin, I'm okay. Thanks for worrying, ill be home shortly."  and I started to walk out of the river.

While I was running home I came across Stephan sitting under a tree. As promised, I explained everything to Stephan not too long after we found him in the woods. I told him about how I hid, and the hunters, and when I got away, and even about Ryker and why we were now traveling. He said he wasn't too surprised I survived the attack on our pack and he told me how he survived, also. he said he ran forever until he made it far enough away and hes been a lone wolf ever since. After all of this I gladly accepted him into my pack so that makes us 114 members. Hopefully, someday, we'll have enough wolves and I can go back to my mate.

"what are you doing out here, Stephan?"  I had to use mind link since I was still in wolf form but he responded normally, "clearing my head, probably the same thing you're doing," he said with a chuckle. "yeah, you're right,"  I laughed, "but its getting late, why don't you run back to the house with me?"  ,  "okay." he said and stood up, "race ya!" and with that, he took off. Since he was a beta's son he was actually pretty fast but not fast enough because I passed him quickly and beat him right to the front door of the pack house.

He went in first and I stayed back to find the tree I put some of my clothes in a few days before. It took me a while to find the tree but I eventually did and I slipped on a tank top and some blue jean shorts after shifting, before going inside to spend some quality time with my pack.
