AMEENA
I woke up a few days later with this burning feeling in my chest. I had never felt something so painful except for my first shift. I felt like my body was on fire and I didn't know how to fix it, I tried everything. I ran down to the kitchen from my bedroom to get a glass of ice water hoping it would soothe the burning feeling. I let out the breath I didn't realize I was holding when I felt the burn slowly go away. Full of confusion I mind linked Dallas and told him I was going for a run if anyone asked, since he would be the only one awake at 4am.
I jumped out of my human body and into my wolf, at least that's what it feels like I am doing. The first shift is the only shift that is actually at all painful. I ran back to the waterfall I found the other day and lapped at the cool, flowing water. I shifted back and went for a swim, a human this time instead of a wolf, wanting to feel the cool water on my warm skin. I swam over to where the water from the waterfall falls into the river and put my head under the water, wetting my hair. The water felt so nice. I relaxed and let the current take me down the river a bit before I stepped out of the water and shifted back to my wolf so I wasn't just standing in the middle of the forest naked. I let out a laugh, that sounded funny coming from a wolf, at the thought.
I was too busy being caught up In my thoughts to realize the three large wolves standing only about 30 feet in front of me. As soon as I saw them I let out a low warning growl that came from deep in my throat. One of the wolves was slightly larger than the other two with a reddish brown coat and one black ear, the right one. He took a step towards me as if challenging me. A wolfish grin appeared on my face, saying "bring it". And let me tell ya, he brought it.
He took a leap faster than I could blink and he landed on me, causing us to roll a few feet. I jumped up just as fast and crouched down ready to attack. He jumped for me again but this time I was ready and I stepped out of the way just in time. Before he could process what I had just done, I pounced on his back and bit the scruff of his neck until I tasted blood and held it there. He was strong enough to flip us over and so he was on top of me trying to bite my neck but I was holding him back with my two front paws. I pushed him off of me and he went flying back next to his two friends, one a female wolf with a black and white coat and another male with a pure white coat, no other colors.
All three of them were now slowly walking towards me threateningly. I was an alpha and I was strong but I was not quite strong enough to take on three very large rogues by myself, but ill be damned if I didn't try. The same wolf as before jumped at me but I saw it coming before it happened and was able to push him into a tree to the right of me right as we made contact. I barely had time to react before I saw the white wolf jump at me too. I was ready to do the same thing to him when a grey wolf came out of nowhere and tackled the wolf to the ground.
Ryker.

RYKER
Jaqueline and I were running through a small forest just inside the border of Canada when I saw two wolves rolling on the ground fighting. I didn't recognize the wolf on top but I knew the silver one on bottom. My mate, Ameena. She pushed the red wolf off of her and not long after he made contact with the ground he stood right back up and attacked again. Ameena was prepared and pushed him away. As soon as I noticed a white wolf jumping at her a took off and tackled him to the ground. He didn't expect me to do that so it was easy access to his throat and I took a chunk and killed him instantly. I quickly turned to see Jaqueline wrestling a black and white she-wolf to the ground that tried to attack me from behind. I quickly looked to my left just in time to see Ameena kill the red wolf but she was covered in blood. She stood up off of the wolf, obviously tired, and looked me in the eye. She shook out her beautiful fur and ran for a tree. It was then that I realized her and Jaqueline looked almost identical except for Ameena had four black paws instead of just one.
"How in the hell did you find me?" I didn't even notice she came out from behind the tree, fully clothed. I shifted when she tossed me a pair of shorts and Jaqueline did the same.
"I have been looking since the day you left. I haven't stopped and I haven't been back to my pack. I was searching for awhile before I came across Jaqueline and she offered to help." I said looking over at a nervous Jaqueline. Ameena looked over at her and gasped.
"oh my god... Jaqueline?" she said and ran into her arms, wrapping her in a tight, long hug, "I-I thought y-you were g-gone!", she said, now sobbing.
Jaqueline was crying too, "I have been looking for you for years, Ameena, I never doubted I would find you." and she looked at my confused face then back at Ameena, "your mate is confused and slightly jealous." Ameena laughed. Oh god how I missed that sound. It has been far too long.
Ameena walked over to me and I couldn't help but wrap my arms around her, "Jaqueline is my older sister. Our pack was attacked and only a few people made it out alive, " she said and I wiped a tear that had fallen down her cheek, "i didn't think I would ever see her again. But I guess... it might be time to explain everything to you." and she took my hand, pulling me over to a large rock where Jaqueline was already sitting.
