That wasn't a normal growl. That was a possessive growl that had the whole hallway kneeling and almost had myself on one knee too. I was afraid to turn my head, I didn't know who was going to be standing there and my wolf was too jumpy.
It surprised me more then anything, only an alpha can possess so much power. Coming to my senses that the wolf was growling at how close Sadie was to me I quickly let her go making her fall on her ass. I slowly turned around and, being an alpha, let out a low warning grow. It was cut short when my golden eyes met the most beautiful green ones. They looked fierce and broken at the same time.
I ran over to her and attempted to wrap my mate into a hug. At first I didn't know what was wrong until she pushed me away, "you can't just come and hug me when I know damn well you just hooked up with that slut!" she yelled. Her voice was so beautiful but I didn't want her mad at me. I looked down at the ground ashamed at what I've done.
Soon enough I noticed the school still kneeling, "out!" I demanded using my alpha tone, mostly just to see if it worked on my mate. Much to my expectations, it didnt. Instead she yelled at me again, "they didn't do anything wrong! god, you're insane! no wonder my pack didn't want to come here" she mumbled the last sentence but thanks to my wolf hearing I heard her loud and clear.
She walked away. Well tried to, I grabbed her wrist and begged her to stay. "no! I can't believe the moon goddess hates me this much. giving me an idiot for a mate", she yelled at me once again. Her eyes slightly softened at my whimper but not by much.
"Okay. Fine, go ahead and reject me" I whispered.
She looked shocked "what's your name?" I almost cried actually, she was really going to reject me. Before she even knew me.
"Ryder Holbrook" , I said with slight teary eyes.
"Ameena Blair" , she said and walked away. I repeated her name over and over in my head smiling like an idiot because she didn't reject me. I am determined to get Ameena to love me and I will change my ways. First, I have to figure out how she has so much power.
