I drug Zach through the streets, hoping that Apollo would come back to get us or something. After thirty minutes, still a no-show. Stupid Apollo, I thought, he made a big deal about finding me and then pushed me off his chariot. Awesome.

I felt like screaming, what was I supposed to do? I had a really confused Zach following me and I was getting farther and farther from my safe zone. Though after what happened with the bird creature, the "safe zone" wasn't really safe anymore. A few more minutes went by when Zach stopped. I tugged on his arm.

"Come on Zach, we have to go," I wasn't quite sure where we were going, just as long as it was away from here. When Zach didn't move, I turned around. He was standing there staring off into space, well more like up at the sky. I followed his eyes and didn't see anything. I looked back at him; he kept staring up as if something was coming at us.

The next few seconds were a blur.

"Get down!" Zach scream and suddenly pushed me to the ground; my hands and knees scraped against the concrete as I fell. I felt a weight on top of me; I knew it was Zach, but I wasn't sure what he was doing. That was until I heard someone squeal, "Look out!" and then something hit the ground with a deafening crash. Gravel and clumps of dirt rained on Zach and I; some of the rocks slightly puncturing my skin.

Zach lifted himself off me and started coughing. I joined in once the dirt and dust in the air entered my lungs. "Are you okay?" Zach asked as he stood up.

"Yeah," I answered between coughs. He helped me to my feet and we brushed ourselves off while the air cleared. I gasped when I saw what had crash landed, but Zach just stared.

A gold and red chariot was settled in a crater in the middle of the street, two large backpacks with their contents strewn across the ground, and a girl hastily picking stuff up.

She was small and petite with short light brown hair and dark brown eyes. She could't have been more than fourteen years old. I watched as she stuffed papers, gold coins, and other stuff into the backpacks. A large black and brown horse came around the chariot and stood above the girl.

"Dang it Nikki, how many times have I told you not to crash land into hard objects?" A male's voice emitted from where the horse came.

"Sorry Tanner," Nikki answered, "it was the stupid horses fault," the horse neighed at her response, "yeah yeah, I know, your not a horse. So what," Was she actually talking to that thing? I felt Zach's arm push me back behind him protectively as Tanner walked up to Nikki with a variety of weapons.

Tanner was short and bulky with red hair and grey eyes. He glanced our way and snickered when he saw me angled behind Zach. "Don't worry dude, we come in peace. Actually it would've been a little more peaceful if Nikki hadn't of crashed us into the pavement." he tossed a glare at Nikki who was done cleaning things up.

She stood almost as tall as Tanner, which surprised me considering Tanner looked around seventeen, besides his height of course. "Shut it, I already told you before we left that Hazel wasn't feeling well. Did you listen? No," I guessed Hazel was the horse since there was no one else there.

Tanner put up his hands as if saying 'don't shoot' "Calm yourself, it's fine. Just a few scratches."

I walked out from behind Zach and up to Nikki, "hi, I'm Halia," I put my hand out.

She smiled, "I know who you are Halia," she said taking my hand and shaking it, "we dropped in to get you and bring you back to the Academy of Talent," She released my hand to crouch down and grab a backpack. Opening the bag she pulled out a brochure type thing and handed it to me, "You can read this on the way to the Academy, it should tell you what you need to know."

A loud creak caught my attention. Looking at the chariot, I saw Tanner pushing it up and out of the crater. "Are we going to ride in that thing?" I asked nervously; I didn't trust it.

Nikki laughed, "of course we are. Don't worry, it's as sturdy as a horse," I glanced at Hazel who was shaking her head in objection.

Zach set his hand on my shoulder and flashed me one of his dazzling smiles, "This outta be fun,"
