Zach's POV

I groaned and rolled over to my side, my eyes opened to the sight of green grass and a bunch trees. What the heck? I thought as I sat up quickly. Pain spread through me from my too quick movement. Looking around I saw the bodies of the other demigods strewn across the sand.

"Zach?" I heard someone say my name. I glanced beside me and saw Nicole, Halia's sister. I cocked my head and looked at her confused.

She sat up and looked at the ground, blush rising to her cheeks; I chuckled and she looked at me and smiled, "Are you okay?" she asked as she surveyed the wreckage.

I nodded, "Yeah I'm fine," her eyes went wide in shock and she stood up and ran towards the beach. I watched as she kneeled beside someone; when she lifted their head into her arms I recognized it as Nolen.

Quickly I followed her over and sat in the sand and just watched them. Nicole sat over her brother urging for him to wake up and sighed in relief when his eyes fluttered open.

"Whoa, I just had the most awesome dream!" Nolen exclaimed. Nicole laughed and hugged him, tears streaming down her face.

I stood up and saw everyone else getting up too, all of them confused and hurt.  Nikki tried to sit up, but was covered by Morgan, who was still not really aware of what was happening. Nicole grunted and shoved Morgan off of her with a lot more force than I thought she'd have. Morgan yelped at the sudden movement and landed with mouthful of dirt.

The only one I didn't notice was Halia. I looked around more frantically, but still no sign of her.

"Has anyone noticed that we aren't in Virginia?" Tanner's voice rang out in a questioning tone.

"Then where are we Tanner?" Morgan asked standing up and dusting herself off, her voice a little irritated. I surpressed a laugh as I continued to scan the area for Halia; still no sign of her.

I glanced back at Tanner as he looked at the map; his brow furrowed in frustration, "We are, next to Virginia. Somewhere in the Atlantic on an island, but it wasn't on the map before..." His voice went quiet.

"Where's Halia?" Nikki shouted as she ran her hands through the tangled mess on her head. When no one answered I freaked out.

"Halia!" We all called as we adventured through the jungle of the island. We had been searching for her for a long time, but I wasn't sure how long. Still everytime I called her name, I ended up with nothing but birds and the wind answering back.

I couldn't lose her yet, I didn't know how I would cope with something like that. We had been together forever and loosing her now would leave me more than heart broken.

I stopped searching when I knew it was hopeless, we were never going to find her and we needed to get on with finding Death. I reluctantly walked back to where we crashed; everyone looked at me with solenm faces.

A small hand was placed on my shoulder, "Don't worry," I heard Nicole say, "We will find her. I promise,"

I gave Nicole a small smile, "Thanks, but we should get going. Death can't wait,"
