Optimus followed Megatron into the rec room. Energon dispensers line the back wall to allow more people to get their energon at one time. A few vehicons and eradicons occupied the room but looked up as the duo walked in before returning to their conversations. Megatron got them the cubes before guiding Optimus to a table and handing a cube over.
Optimus took it looking at the glowing blue liquid in the rather large cube before taking a sip. He set the cube on the table. Though it was still pretty full, it was a lot more energon than what he would have taken back at his base. They barely had anything that could be given out as more since they rarely had a large stockpile to begin with. The Decepticons he knew seemed to have a limitless supply. Here even with the switched roles of good and bad the Decepticons had a lot more energon. Optimus then began to wonder how much the Autobots here had.
"Is something wrong with your energon?" Megatron asked.
His sudden question startled Optimus out of his thoughts. Optimus reviewed what he said before shaking his helm. "No. Just comparing."
"What exactly?" Megatron was curious.
"How much energon our dimensions have. My team doesnt have a large stockpile and rarely do any of us get the full amount that is required. I always take about 10% more than my bare minimum in order to function so the rest is for my team. When it's really low I refuse to refuel to ensure my team is healthy and that we can find a mine or energon deposit to get more."
"So little energon? Even here the autobots have plenty and would have even more if it weren't for the thirteen being able to sense energon deposits." Megatron commented.
"It seems your dimension is in better shape than my own." Optimus sighed.
"That's the perspective you have right now. But tell me Optimus has my counter part teamed up with you?"
"Indeed. Some battles we fought against a common enemy. And saved my life." Optimus admitted the last part quietly.
"That's more than what I can say for your counterpart." Megatron stated. "Optimus from my view, your war seems like it will end with a happier ending than this one." Optimus didn't reply just stared at his energon. Though Megatron claimed this, Optimus was not so sure he believed his words after everything that had happened. "Look, Optimus, we both hope that our opponents will change with a better spark. After these many eons of war we still hope this. In the end we pray that the ones we once call brother isn't dead or had offlined us but came to his senses." Megatron began.
"Such a hope is hard to stop."
"Exactly but right now they need to see where they went wrong." Megatron stated.
Optimus nodded after earlier he realized just how different this world was to his own.
"Seems like you have a lot to think about." Megatron stood with an empty cube. "I'm sure you must be tired. I'll take you the quarters we set aside for you."
Optimus nodded and stood as well realizing his own cube was empty. Megatron guided him out of the room and led him through halls. They reach a room and entered. It was a spacious room though sparse in decorations. There was a large berth in a corner with a table beside. Also a data pad shelf filled with different subjects.
"It's not much but your arrival was sudden." Megatron stated a bit sheepishly.
Optimus grimaced slightly." It's a lot more than what my berth room has."
Megatron looked over at Optimus with shock before it changed to pity. Was their war so bad that they have so little that even a small room with only three things and data pads was more than they kept? Megatron pondered in his mind. "I-I'm sorry to hear that."
Optimus looked up with a smile. "Thank you Megatron. I needed to talk with someone."
Megatron relaxed. "You can talk with me anytime Optimus." Megatron moved to leave but paused beside Optimus resting his servo on the other's shoulder guard. "Try to get some recharge. You had a lot happen to you today."
With that Megatron left Optimus inside his temporary quarters. Optimus sighed and sat on the berth. He put his face plates into his servos and rubbed. All the young prime felt was stress. Stress about not being what was needed, what is resting on his shoulders, his family....
Optimus let out a sob as he realized he just left some of the best people he knew behind and their worry for him had to be mounting every day. After all they had only gotten him back. He thought of what the might be doing. Ratchet would probably be waiting for him to make contact. Arcee would be visiting Cliffjumper's grave. Bumblebee and Raf would be playing video games. Bulkhead and Miko would be playing their loud music and distract Ratchet in the process. Jack would most likely be working or helping his mother, June, out. June would probably be working the same with Agent Fowler.
Just thinking about them made the normally stoic Prime sob. Optimus sighed and opened his chest compartment over his spark where the Matrix lied but also a tiny cube. Optimus took the cube in servo and clicked a small button it hummed to life with a picture of all of them that Miko took.
He switched the hologram off and lied down onto the berth with a sigh. He closed his optics and allowed sleep to claim him.
For him it just felt like he woke up in another place.
"'Bout time you got here," Optimus looked over to see Solus prime with her servos on her hips. "I've been waiting to hear what happen since I had a couple of things to do in order to keep good on my word."
" What do you mean?" Optimus looked at her in confusion and she deflated.
"Really? I'm talking about the promise I made to you to get you to come here. Keeping your war stalled to make you assured that your team is safe." Solus stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which to Optimus was, meaning he felt like he was just slapped by Solus's forge.
"Right," Optimus rubbed the back of his helm.
Solus blinked in worry but the realized why he was so out of it. "That bad of a rough day? And here I thought my brothers could give you a warm welcome here. I'm sorry if they caused you trouble." Optimus nodded. "So what happened?" Solus asked.
"Besides the fact that only Alpha Trion doesn't disapprove of the way I had to learn to fight, Prima stated that playing possum is not how a Prime should fight since it holds no honor and everyone else believes I'm just a prime who is in to far over his helm." Optimus vented.
"Let it out. Trust me my brothers are the most stubborn people you'll meet. Now what has happen in yo...." Solus trailed off and looked behind her at something Optimus didn't see. She looked back at the confused prime. "I must go something is happening. I'll see you tomorrow or perhaps even later. Good bye, Optimus Prime."
With the realm Optimus could see faded to black and Optimus entered recharge.
Solus sighed after he left and flew off in the direction she looked. "Please, please, don't do what I think you're doing." She begged heading for her Forgery.
