Then the worker disappeared in the back room. The old woman slowly puts one of her brittle hands in her small bedazzled purse and pulls out a small brown leather belt.

And I got furious,my blood was boiling and I new I was about to attack but the other half of me said that might hurt the kids even more. "I can't do it" I whisper to Chase. He nods at me as if allowing me to pounce. But I was one minute to late and I heard a lash in the air and a mumbled scream I saw that the woman had her handkerchief over the taller girls mouth. And that's when I pounced I was down right raged.

Last thing I remember was Chase pulling me off the woman and the poor cashier screaming at the sight.
I woke in our hotel room. I'm in one of the beds Chase is in the opposite one and the two girls were sitting in the big arm chair.
My blurred sight adjusting to the light in the room. I sit up a look Chase straight in emerald green eye's as if saying what damage did I make.
The girls notice I am awake and the young one come sits on my lap and hugs me and I hug her back. Her touch was solid and smooth as if already telling me thank you. But she didn't have to,I knew that even if it was anyone else if they were in danger and in need I would help even if it meant my own life at risk I would do it. Cause why would you let two people die when I could only be one...

Soon she fell asleep in my arms and all of us tuck her in.

"So what is your name" I ask the older girl in a quiet whisper.
"Hello my name is Gina and that little angel is Lucy"she starts. "And we are so thankful that you two saved us from that horrible woman she ends. "I'm sorry I was a second to late to stop her from hitting you one last time"I say in a small voice as I try and muster the courage to speak. "Tell us why she had you I ask.
"Let me start with...."
