The Diner—Old Joe’s—that sits in the middle of downtown New York, is only open at night, welcoming the lonely souls. So it isn’t a surprise that one night, Remi Welch is opening the door, triggering the bell, with tears running down her face.

One evening, when Remi is ordering her usual of a strawberry milkshake, Harper O’Conner tumbles through the threshold, beaten black and blue. It was only a matter of time before Old Joe’s was welcoming both of the troubled teens into its heart. And hopefully, they can do the same to one another.
