"Ace, calm dow you're father is somewhere else okay?"

"No mom, he never care about us? I fucking hate him with a passion! "

"No you don't Ace. You don't-"

"YES MOM I DO, HE WAS JUST TRYING TO PLAY THE GOOD FATHER ACT. HE NEVER REALLY LOVED BOTH OF US, HE JUST WANTED THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE HOW MUCH OF A GOOD FATHER HE WAS. THAT LYING MOTHER FUCKER. Mom promise me that we never ever see him again."

"I promise Acacia."

Ace POV

Today's the day that I finally move to Drew's house. I'm kind of nervous about his parents, but I'm excited at the same time. I'm just glad I'm not living in the streets.

"Ready to go Ace?"

"Yup, I'm ready. And thanks Drew, for being there for me. If it wasn't for you, I would still be at the hospital, or I would be homeless. Thank You so much." I hugged him after I said that. He was just so nice to me.

"Hey, that's what best friends do for each other right?"

"BEST FRIENDS?"

"Yeah, of course, you're my best friend Ace."

That made me blush a little. "Aww, thanks.' We both got mine and my mom's things together to go to Drew's house. Once we got there, my face dropped. It was like a mansion.

"OH MY GOODNESS",said my mom, surprised.

"Whoa, I didn't know your house was that big!"

"Well, I told you remember?"

"Well not this big! You could have a party in here fwith over 400 people!"

"Yeah, but I choose not to. Too much people," he smiled.

"Haha, true." We walked into the house and were welcomed by one person who I think might be his older sister.

"Hi, I'm Joseline, and you must be Drew's friend and her mother, right?"

"Yes, are you his older sister?" my Mother asked.

"Why, I'm quite flattered but no I'm his mother Mrs. Anthony."

"Oh, haha you looked so young!"

"Yeah, thank you Mrs-"

"Oh im Anisah, you can just call me that"

"Okay alright then I guess it's time I show you guys where you're staying!"

Drew's mom showed us the room were staying in.

"Whoa, this place is HUGE."

"Like it huh?"

"Like it, It's better than our other home!"

"Well I'm glad you love it."

We got all our stuff rested on our beds and there was a T.V., HUGE closets, a bathroom, and bookshelf. It was so beautiful.

"Ace, umm can I talk to you outside?", asked Drew.

"Umm, okay sure."

Drew's POV

I've finally got her alone so I can talk to her. I've always wanted to tell her that I like her, but I'm not sure if she likes me back. I just feel like getting this off my chest.

"Dude, your place is really cool", she says.

"Thanks Ace, umm I have something that I want to get off my chest."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"I know we've been like bestfriends for a while now and I just wanted to say that-

"YES?"

"Umm I love that you guys are living with us now, gives us more time to get to spend time with each other." I just couldn't get it out. How could I not want to get it out! Love is so difficult.

" Uhh, yeah, that's really cool."

"Oh, and yeah would you like to come to a party tomorrow night?"

"I'm not really fond of parties, I'v e never really been invited to one."

"Well, now I guess this is your first!"

"Umm I don't think so...."

"Why not? come on, for me? I gave you a place to stay you should at least do something for me."

"UGHH okay Drew, do I need a fake i.d.?"

"Uh yeah, how did you know that?"

"Most parties that teens sneak out to need a fake i.d."

"right, okay."My mom calls us to get back inside for dinner. We all sit down as my mom serves out pasta and some breadsticks."

"This is cool! I have never tasted breadsticks before."

"Really Ace?"

"Yeah, she hasn't. I'm not a big cooker we usually order out," says her mom. My mother takes a seat and we all say our prayers before we eat.

Just as we were going to have a decent dinner, Ace has to go an ask a question that makes my mom instantly walk out of the room.

"Hey um, Drew, where's your dad? Is he on some buisness meeting, or are you're parents divorced?"

My mom drops her fork and breadstick and sheds a tear. "Excuse me for a moment." She quickly walks out of the dining room.

"Umm, Ace, my father died in a car accident."

"Oh Goodness I'm so sorry"

"Yeah he was drunk it's not your fault he's dead you'll start to get over it."

"You werent very close to you're father were you Drew. That's why you don't feel bad at all about  the situation"

How did she know that?

"How did you know that?"

"Ace wasn't close to her dad either, he left her when she was 8 years old to live with some sleeze bag whore,"her mom says sighing.

"Yeah my mom's right, I'm a freaky loser and not even my FUCKING FATHER WANTS ME! HE DIDN'T COME TO THE HOSPITAL TO FUCKING SEE ME EITHER! HE'S NOT MY FATHER. HE'S DEAD TO ME."

That's when Ace storms out of the dining room.

"I better go and talk to Ace," says her mom.

She runs upstairs and I end up alone on the dining room eating my pasta. At least Ace and I have one thing in common; our fathers both abandoned us. I can't even tell Ace that I have feelings for her! She is a beautiful woman that deserves so much better for herself, and I think maybe because of her father, she has felt neglected and alone and depressed. Maybe he did a lot of things with her when she was younger and all of a sudden he just leaves like he doesn't give a shit about her. That's fucking messed up. I just hope something good happens right now because it just sucks to have a life like this, especially her life, which is even worse than mine. This party that's coming up tomorrow better take my mind of some things....

All I want is for my life and hers to be trouble free...
