Bad Teacher - G.D

Part One

"Come on Britt you're gonna be late!!" Mum screams from downstairs
"I'm getting there mum!" I start rushing around. I find my jeans, a white crop top that read "dreamer" and my grey high top vans and put my hair up in a messy bun
"Britney!!" Mum starts to get impatient
"Okay!!" I scream back down at mum and grab my bag and head downstairs and just grab an apple for breakfast from the food bowl
"Ready for your new school?" Mum smiled
"I guess. It's gonna be so different than back home" I shrugged, I wasn't as keen on this whole school thing moving from New Zealand to LA.
"You'll be okay love! Text me if you need!" Mum smiled as we pulled up to the school
"Okay, I will. Thanks mum" l smiled and got out of the car
Public school was never easy for me back home, I would get bullied constantly, and just very mistreated.
I head into the office to get my timetable and find my home room class
"Hello there, you okay?" The office lady smiles
"Yes, I'm new here, I start today. I was coming in to get my timetable?" I smiled slightly nervous
"Oh yes, Britney, your home room is the 8th class on the left" she smiled handing me the timetable "and the class numbers are on there for you as well as a map! Have a good day!" She waved as I walked out
I walked into the corridor and started looking around. It was pretty obvious that this school is segregated. Nerds on one side, sport freaks on the other and popular people in the middle. I try and squeeze through the corridor when 3 girls approach me.
"Hello we haven't seen you before" one girl smiled
"I'm new. It's my first day" I said shy
"I'm Kristen, this is Julie and that's Taylor" Kristen smiled as she introduced her friends
"Hey, I'm Britney" I smiled softly
"What grade are you?" Julie smiled
"I'm in 11th" I smiled
"Us too! You want to spend the day with us? We can show you around!" Taylor smiled
"Yeah that would be cool thank you!" I smiled
Well looks like LA isn't that bad. Three new friends already, I'll take it!
