A/N: The picture attached is how I'd imagine Amber to look like :)

Ambers POV
I ran my finger through my knotty ginger hair as I attempted to tie it up into a pony tail. I peered in the mirror at my nose, which had been broken. The swelling had gone down but I was still left with a black eye and it was still sore. I traced the freckles that were dotted over my face with my finger, furrowing my eyebrows in annoyance that even makeup couldn't cover them. The only feature on my face that I was fond of were my eyes. They were an emerald green and stood out due to my ginger hair and pale complexion. Once I was as satisfied as I could be with my appearance, I raced down the stairs to the kitchen where my parents were sat.

"Hey mum, can you drive me to Michaels house?" I asked her, wanting to see my Best Friend.

"No sorry Amber, your Dad and I are going out tonight and Calum's out with his friend Ashton, so I'm afraid he can't take you either." She told me and I huffed, walking into the living room where I planted myself down on the sofa and opened my laptop, logging into Netflix.

My parents had left not long after I'd spoken to them so I was now home alone. I was in the middle of binge watching Teen Wolf when I heard the front door open.

"I'm home Amber!" Calum called through to me and I mumbled a 'hello' back, focusing my attention on my laptop screen.

He walked through to the living room and that's when I realised he'd brought his friend back with him. I glanced up to see who his friend was, but I took a double take. Stood before me was none other than the boy who was responsible for breaking my nose. He smiled at me bashfully, his hazel curls flowing over the red bandana on his forehead. He was no longer dressed in his baseball kit, but in a pair of black skinny jeans and a Iron Maiden vest top.

"You're Ashton!?" I exclaimed, shocked that he was boy Calum had been hanging out with all night.

"Yeah." He replied, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"I'm sorry." He said for what must have been the tenth time now.

"It's okay" I told him, pulling on the sleeves on my faded denim flannel, feeling slightly self conscious.

"Right, well we're going upstairs" Calum announced before dragging Ashton out of the room.

I sighed, relieved that I was finally left in peace. I finished binged watching the first season of Teen Wolf, now struggling to stifle my yawns. Deciding it was now time to go to bed, I shut my laptop and made my way up the stairs.

Pushing open the bathroom door and flicking on the light, I scanned the room for a clean towel, spotting one on top of the wash basket. Making sure to lock the door first, I undressed and switched on the shower. I stepped in, letting the hot water flow down my back, completely relaxing me.

After spending longer than I should of in the shower, I got out and wrapped the towel around me, shivering as the cold air hit me. I made my way out the bathroom and headed towards my room, but was stopped in my tracks when I slammed into something, or rather someone.

I looked up to see Ashton looking down at me, his cheeks tinted a light pink and a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"S-sorry" I stuttered, my face flushing a deep Crimson as I gripped my towel tightly around me.

"It's fine" he said, biting his lip, looking embarrassed but slightly amused.

He placed his hands gently on my waist and my breathing hitched, as he lifted me up and turned around, placing me down where he had previously been. We had now swapped places and I struggled to breath a normal rhythm as my legs felt weak and butterflies exploded in my stomach.

He gave me a small smile before turning and heading into the bathroom, leaving me standing flustered in only a towel, my skin still tingling from his touch.

I don't really like the chapter but I'm posting it anyway. Also can some one give me feedback on whether you'd prefer this to be a cliche story or more of a deep, sad story? ~ Hannah
