Heheheheh...did you enjoy the last chapter? Suspence? Scary? Worry, hurt? Action? Eh, probably not.
- 3rd Person -
"Leo!" Jason scrambled towards his friend, who laid limp and unconscious on the ground. He shook him, but the mechanic did not respond.
"Ughhhhh..." Nico groaned beside him, as Frank propped him up against the wall. "Valdez...?"
"He's fine," Percy said gently. "Are you?"
Nico turned his head away. "Y-Yeah, I'll live. What'd she do to him?"
Piper lifted his eye-lids, and his eyes were glazed over and broken again. She sighed and lifted the son of Hephaestus. "Under her spell again, it seems. Let's get him to that chair."
Piper and Jason lowered Leo into the wooden chair attached to the ground. He moaned and flinched multiple times in his sleep.
Annabeth looked at him pitifully and shook her head. "I can't believe we didn't know. I can't believe I didn't know. I should have saw the way he'd stumble, I-I should have-"
Hazel put her hand on Annabeth's shoulder. "You can't blame yourself, none of us knew. I should have known, we all should have known. There's nothing we can do about it now."
"But there is something I can do, demigods," the god of medicine stepped out from the corner of the room.
"Asclepius!" Frank exclaimed.
The god smiled sadly. "Yes, it's me. First things first, you all have been here for hours. Please, eat something."
He snapped his fingers and platters of food and drinks appeared on the table. The demigods hungrily sat down and began to eat and drink.
"You said there was something you could do?" Frank asked, nibbling on a slice of pizza.
Asclepius sighed sadly. "Yes, there is something I can do this. This; giving you food, is what I can do. I'm sorry, demigods, but there is nothing I can do for your friend."
They all looked down gloomily. All but Percy. He scratched his chin and raised an eyebrow at the god, "But what about after the memories and stuff? Will he be okay? Maybe that's how you can help us, by helping him afterwards. And maybe even us..."
"I'd be glad to," Asclepius said. "I'm sorry that I've helped Medea do this. Please - don't dislike me for this. Good luck, demigods."
He disappeared, and the demigods all looked at each other. The memory viewing screen started back up again.
"I'd rather go back to Aeolus's palace than continue this." Jason muttered.
Nico snorted. "I'd rather stay with my father and stepmother for a year than do this."
All of the heroes smiled weakly. Then they turned their heads to the screen.
