"One upon a time...there was a baby, this baby was forsaken since the day she was born, cursed to be alone and abused, a punching bag for society, she was nothing more than unwanted trash, or so her birth parents thought, so they threw her away with all the unwanted trash and left her to die"Azile's tone was even yet distant, she continued her swift cuts as she sliced through some freshly cleaned carrots, but she wasn't paying attention to her actions as much as she was her words.
"She was found by a priest, a deeply disturbed and corrupted priest, who disliked the child so much, that in order to get the baby to stop using a pacifier, he set it on fire and shoved it in the little girl's mouth...it worked...the first five years of this baby's life was spent learning through the pain, when she was five she was sold to a husband and wife who couldn't have children, the little girl foolishly thought she was saved..."
There was a long pause and Azile could feel her throat constricting, but she continued to speak clearly and evenly.
"She wasn't, of course, and was severely abused, the couple had a good economic hold over the society, law enforcement feared that if they fought for the child then their families would suffer, so they turned a blind eye and the citizens avoided the child like a plague. This little girl realized that she did not need the help of others, she cursed at their cowardliness and fought back on her own, taking each hit, each kick, each venom filled word and using them to shape herself. She educated herself, very well if I might add, and knew that that was all she needed: herself...but then, she met a little blonde and realized she didn't need love, or care, or support, but she sure as hell yearned for it, so when this little blonde girl offered her a hand after she had fallen, she took it and never let it go, because she could live with the entire world hating her, every single being and organism, all of them, as long had she had this one little blonde beside her named Aris Haven.
Aris was born into a neglectful family, an alcoholic father and verbally abusive mother, she didn't have the voice that the other girl did, and was raised to believe she would amount to nothing, she was conceived without an ounce of love, but she wasn't hated, she was forgotten, her mother didn't recognize Aris as her child and her father was too drunk to remember he had one, she would have rather been hated than forgotten. Naturally, these two girls found solace in each other, meeting when when she was ten"
Azile smiled as the memories flowed through her head, she clearly remembered the day.
"Eventually Aris's father drank himself to death and she was left with her verbally abusive mother-"
"And the first girl?" Sebastian questioned, Azile heard the amusement in his tone and struggled with not throwing the knife deep into the butler's back, knowing he would survive the blow, but kept in mind he was a demon so he held no remorse.
"When she was ten her parents finally conceived their own biological son, whom she loved dearly, but a year after his birth the family got into a really bad car accident, she was the only survivor with barely any damage, while her little brother was crushed between the seats...the community that abandoned her now looked for her to save them as the economy started to fall quickly, the company was placed under her care and she in a few months the mere 11 year old managed to bring it back up and even improve it, now the people that turned their backs on her looked up to her as a hero, but she didn't care about them, she only cared about her friend who would have suffered had she not done anything. When Aris was twelve her mother disappeared and Azile took her in, the two lived with each other since, joined high school when they became of age and continued to persevere until a day ago when I stupidly made the mistake of taking my eyes off the road, and now I'm here, stuck with a child and his...unholy butler"
Azile sighed, ending her long sensitive monologue. She never liked to bring up the past, believing that it was the past for a reason. By now the brunette had made her own honey glaze to put over the vegetables, knowing the young boy wouldn't eat them if she didn't, and was cracking the eggs into a simple bowl.
"My, my, someone sounds anguished by the change of events"
"Sebastian, I swear when the contract is over, just to piss you off, I'll kidnap Ciel so you'll never get his-"
Slam!!
Azile Froze hearing the sound of wood being impaled, her jaw clenched feeling the burning glare the butler was throwing at her, but she wasn't afraid, she had too much pride.
"Are you mad? I thought nothing got through that poker face of yours" Azile taunted dryly, not really finding the situation amusing.
"You-"
Azile paused completely, feeling her space being invaded as Sebastian suddenly appeared behind her, her movement was rigid, never being one to like someone standing behind her, but she forced herself to relax before turning her head to give the butler a fierce glare, warning him.
Sebastian felt amused but his face didn't show it, his once amber eyes illuminated their bright fuchsia color as he glared at the brunette evenly.
"-left a piece of shell in the mixture"
He finished before reaching over her, instantly her head turned to the bowl and, sure enough, there was a barely noticeable piece of the white shell floating with the yolk, milk, and spices.
Her cheeks flushed instantly, feeing oddly defeated by the butler, she looked back at him but her glare had weakened while his smug features returned once more as he held the piece of for her to see.
"I would have noticed it eventually" she interjected lamely, and, most of all, childishly.
"When, exactly? After the young master has already eaten it?"
Azile had no response, well she did, but it was too immature for her.
"I assume this means I win?"
"Get off of me, Michaelis"
