"Hello Thomas. What was your problem today?" I ask him as he comes over to me and Clara."Nothing. Just disgusted to see you flirting with someone." He answered crossing his arms. He must do that when ever he is feeling defiant, like earlier. Noted.
"Oh is someone feeling jealous?" I reply back crossing my arms as well.
"Jealous? Of you? Haha!" He says laughing.
"Right. Ok what should we do today?" I ask them. They both look at my with bright eyes, but something is off. There is a certain dullness to them.
"Oh! How about we play Football!" Clara suggests. Both me and Thomas nod in agreement. I will pummel these guys. Watch them underestimate me, then I surprise them and take them down.
"You and Clara vs me because we all know I'll win." Step one complete.
"Ok Clara's quarterback." She gives me a look and I calm her down. She just nods her head slowly.
"Ready. Set. Hike!" Clara shouts. I run toward the touch down line and look to the long pass, but then think Clara might not be able to throw that far accurately. She had never really thrown a football and, from what I've seen, she doesn't have that strong of an arm. So I fake long and run in for a short pass. Clara throws it to me, actually pretty good, but no strength behind it.
I sprint for the touchdown but come up short. I'm interrupted by a force pulling me to the ground. I am completely pinned to the ground by Thomas.
"Wow that was easy." He says moxkingly.
"Oh your about to be in a world of hurt when you get off of me." I snap back.
"No I think I ll stay right here."
"You just like this position don't you, perve. "
"No I just want you to get used to being looked down upon." He says swinging his head in a dramatic manor.
"Ha ha. Now get off of me." I push him off with ease and get up. We played football for a couple hours. Switched teams every once in a while, but it was clear Thomas could not be on a team with anyone.
"Oh my goodness I am so tired." I said while falling to the ground and closing my eyes. I feel the ground thud beside me and see Clara is by my side panting. Thomas just stands in front of us staring at the ground.
"You know I hear cloud watching is pretty fun." Clara says staring up at the white cotton balls in the sky.
"I think that one looks like a turtle." I say pointing to an oddly shaped cloud. Thomas decides to lay down and join us. Only he scoots closer to us... to me.
"That one looks like a pony." Clara says pretending not to notice Thomas. Though I know she does because her eyes flicker toward him with a smile.
"You going to participate or are you going to just sit there and be boring?" I ask Thomas who smirks at my comment.
"That one looks like a blob of air." He says effortlessly. I punch him on the shoulder but all he does at laugh at my pathetic attempt to hurt him.
"Thomas! Clara! Time to come inside for a while!" Their mom shouts from their house. Both of them run to their door with wide eyes. They looked worried? I shrug it off and go back to my house. Tomorrow is Friday, thank god.
I walk inside to be greeted by my parents just about to open the door. Keys in hand and my mom has her purse on her shoulder.
