Brooke's POVThomas fulfills his dare and stays there awkwardly for the five seconds he owes. Each second my heart beats faster and my cheeks get warmer, which isn't good because his lips are on them. He finally finishes and all I can think is I want them back. No! You have one more year and you will fulfill your goal. Don't slip up at the finish line! Thomas looks at me with curiosity and fear. Like he wants to know what I'm thinking, but is afraid of what it will be.
I must look like a tomato because he smiles. His eyes change. From fear to relief then from relief to happiness. Now I have the look of curiosity and fear or should I say ferosity. Ba Ba Boom! Ah I am such a joker! No I'm not shut up Brooke!
A knock comes at my door and before I know it Thomas is in my closet and the door reveals my Aunt.
"Hey Brooke. Everyone is leaving so I came to say goodbye and get my girls." She says walking towards us. I get up and give her hug.
"I'm going to miss you Aunty." I say pulling away.
"Brookiepoo." I turn around to see Em looking at me with a sad puppy face and her hands stretched out. I smile and let her jump into my arms.
"I'm going to miss you even more!" I say spinning her around in a death hug. I set her down as she laughs and follows her mother and older sister. As the door closes another one opens.
"I am shocked you are even able to move that fast let alone do it." I taunt looking at him with raised eyebrows. He just smiles.
"Well I wouldn't want to risk me not being able to see you again due to your Aunt telling on me." My stomach erupts with butterflies and I can't help but smile.
"Brooke?! Please come down here!" I hear my Mom yell. Me and Thomas look at each other one more time and I bite my lip.
"Well that's my que. I'll see you tomorrow." I say walking toward the door.
"No I'll talk to you before you go to bed. I have something to tell you." He says walking toward the window.
"Ok?" I say questionably as I walk out the door and close it behind me.
As I say goodbye to all of my family and give endless hugs, all I can think about is what Thomas wants to tell me. It makes me smile and get butterflies but also makes me nervous.
The last one leaves and I yawn when the door closes and look at the clock.
"Oh my goodness its already nine thirty I better get to bed for finals tomorrow." I say trying to be convincing. My parents look at the clock.
"Oh my it is late, goodnight honey." My Mother says. I smile when I turn to head to my room. As I enter I close the door behind me and turn on the lights, then decide against it and keep them off to fool my parents. Oh my goodness fool my parents. I'm getting worse by the second.
Thomas is waiting at his window for me and my mind goes blank. I kneel at my window and put my arms on the seal criss crossed and lay my head on them, looking at him with a curious look. He just laughs.
"You know look real cute when you do that." I think I just died. All I can do is smile. "Come on were going on a walk." He says jumping out the window and I follow.
"Are we going to that abandoned house?" I ask and he nods his head. I smile again and continue walking, but grab my jacket with my schools name on it. I like it because it's really fluffy and soft, which is the best jacket you can have.
When were in viewing distance of the abandoned house all we can see is ruble and a bulldozer. They knocked it to the ground. I look to Thomas who has a disappointing look on his face and he turns to me.
