As I pull into school, I see Autumn, Secret, Summer and Brady around Secrets car. I park next to them and get out.
"I have a bone to pick with you!" Secret yells at me.
"Okay......," I trail off confused.
"One of your brothers followed me home and wouldn't leave until I opened the door and let him in, thank the lord thank my so called parents left again!"
"Who followed you home," I ask trying not to laugh.
"The one I punched."
"Ohh yeah that was James. It's okay one of their bikers gave me a ride home and slept on the couch until I had a nightmare and then he slept with me until I had to get up this morning. He even made breakfast," I tell them.
"Why do I feel like that's not the whole story?" Brady
"Cause it's not, Axel wanted me to kiss him this morning because he had my keys and wallet so I pretended like I was going to then I kneed him below the belt making him drop my keys and wallet." I shrug it off like it's nothing.
"That's my girl!" Autumn yells getting the attention of everyone in the parking lot.
We stand talking, I found out that all of them had been followed home. James obviously followed Secret. Dallas and Alex followed Autumn and Summer, Dallas for Autumn since she punched him. Brady was followed by Landon, not that he was worried about it, saying he liked the attention. The bell rings making us all head in different directions. I find my normal seat in the back of Coach Hangers US History class, his class is super fun, I just hate everyone in there.
"Morning Sage, why are you late?" He asks, honestly he doesn't care if you're late, he'll count you here.
"I didn't want to come, but I need the grade," I jokingly say to him.
"Good morning class. Now today we are going to learn about World War 2," a few groans are heard across the class, "Also we are getting new students to the school so please be welcoming."
Crap the only new people are Alex, Dallas, Landon, James and Axel, don't let it be one of them. A few seconds later Axel walks in holding an office pass. He gives it to Hangers and sits behind me. The class goes by slowly, normally it'd go by faster but I had someone's eyes drilling holes into my back for an hour.
The bell rings and I all but sprint to my next class english which I share with Brady and Autumn. It's a very interesting class to say the least. After all work was passed out guess who pops into my class, Landon. He looks at me and smiles, then he sees Brady and grimaces slightly.
"What did you do?" Autumn and I ask at the same time.
"Nothing, he started it." He says.
"What happend?" I ask him imaging the possibilities of what Brady could have done.
"Oh you mean after I was followed home by a hot biker. Well he followed me into my house and got comfy on my bed. I went and showered and when I came back he was asleep and snoring. So after 20 minutes of trying to get him up I left and slept on the couch. Only to wake up on my bed and him on the couch, still snoring. I tried to get him up so I could lock up the house but he wouldn't budge, so I grabbed a pitcher with some ice and water and poured it over him. I left soon after," he shrugged.
"Excuse me Autumn, Brady and Sage did we interrupt you?" Mrs. Pound asks.
"Yes," Brody, Autumn and I say at the same time.
"Ok make that two detentions for all three of you how about that hmm?" She asks.
"We will have to pass Mrs. Pound, I can only get one per class." Autumn sasses to her.
"Alright then three a piece it is," she walks to the back of the class and writes us three up three times and sends us to the detention room.
We finally get there and see Secret and Summer in there also with three detention slips in their hands.
"What'd you do Secret?" I ask, Summer wouldn't do anything in class unless she hates a teacher and she only hates one teacher and that's Mr. Mole.
"Sure everyone blame Secret, it was actually Summer!" Secret exclaims.
"What!" Brady and Autumn yell.
"Mr. Mole tried to use me as an example and it backfired." She says.
"What was the joke?" I ask.
"Oh this is where it gets good," Secret says laughing.
"He said, "Some people in this class are always late. Some people don't know time management and some other bull shit, so-" She starts before Secret interrupted her.
"So she answered with sorry I'm always late I got lost on the way to hell, my time is better spent at home than here." Secret finishes with tears rolling down her cheek.
It takes all of ten seconds before all of us are laughing. None of hear us hear the door open or the bodies plopping into the chairs. I see everyone looking behind me and slowly turn only to find Axel and Landon sitting there looking at us.
"What do you want?" I ask Axel and Landon.
"I wanted to talk to you and I made him come with me." Landon says.
"No, to talk means I have something in common with you, besides Jennifer and the sperm donor I don't know you and you don't know me. Come to me when you actually have a reason that's not rehearsed." I snap at him, he stands up and drags me as far out of earshot in the room as he can.
"Can we talk in private please? I don't care about the others, I want my little sister back. I missed you so much, I begged dad to go back and get you, everyone begged him to go back and get you. I tried everything to come back and get you but I was twelve when we left, with no money and no car." He has tears brimming in his eyes, but he is to masculine to let them go, that's the dad in him.
"Fine you wanna talk to me and know what my life has been like for the last six years fine, you can bring one other person and it can't be Axel. Anyone you want."
"Anyone I want?" He asks
"Anyone you want." I say.
"Okay." He sighs.
"Be there by seven," I say as the bell goes off. "If you want to come early you can." I call over my shoulder as walk away.
The day passes by quickly, without any disruptions or hiccups, and no more detention slips. After school is over I head to my locker to grab the books I need for homework.
"Are you really going to do it?" Secret asks me.
"Yeah, at least one of them needs to know," I shut my locker door and turn to leave. She laces her fingers with me and walks with me to my bike.
"Hey do you want me to come over?" She asks.
"Yeah, can you stay the night, I know your rents aren't here and everything."
"Yeah I'm gonna run home and get some clothes and I'll be right there okay?"
"Okay, I'll see you there, oh and I'm making chicken burritos for dinner so don't eat anything." I yell at her as she walks away. She flips me off in return.
By time I get home it's 4:00 and I have homework I have to finish. By 5:30 I'm done with all of it and I hear the door bell go off. I open the front door and much to my surprise I see a fuming Secret and a happy James. As soon as Secret is inside she shuts the door and locks it, you can hear James laughing from outside. I silently walk into the kitchen and pull out the ingredients for my chicken burritos and in less than an hour dinner is done and we're eating, after we finish eating we silently put the extra food away and do the dishes.
At 7:00 there is a knock at the door, at least Landon is on time, Secret wordlessly lets Landon and his friend in. Let the fun begin, not.
