Chapter 2: Meeting You

The members had finally left their locker room, well, all except for Kris.

As they exited the building, Tao stopped and turned around. Lay turned around and spotted Tao looking back; he stopped as well, and walked back into the building to meet with Tao.

"What's the matter?" Lay spoke, "something seems to be on your mind." He waited for an answer, but only received a small nod.

"It's just that," Tao started. "I feel bad that we all went against Kris back there. I mean, it wasn't exactly he's fault; he was just trying to help Kai out." He finished with a frown.

Lay slowly frowned and looked out the window to see Exo greeting their fans already. He turned back to Tao and turned him around, "then let's go back and get him."

Tao looked up at Lay, surprised. He smiled and Lay returned the gesture. "Thanks man," he began to walk back to the lockers but then stopped suddenly, causing Lay to slightly bump into him. "You really don't have to come if you don't want to."

Lay frowned, "what would make you say that?" He noticed Tao shrug, "look, I know that you all heard what I said to Kris, but that's one reason why I want to go for him."

Tao nodded and they continued to the locker rooms.

Kris walked out of the locker room and stayed right outside the door. He couldn't bring himself to move on any further.

He grunted and walked back into the lockers. He sat on one of the benches down the small hallway, and placed his head into his hands.

"Why can't I do anything right?" He clenched his hair, and roughly brushed it. "I can't even walk out the door."

He stood up and tried once again, to walk out the door. As he opened the door, he saw Lay and Tao watching him.

"Oh, hey guys." Kris said, very uncomfortable to find them here.

Lay didn't speak, he just walked up to Kris and gave him a strong, but comforting hug. "I'm sorry for how I acted Kris. Things were starting to get out of control between you and the members, I just didn't want things to get any worse."

Kris slowly returned the hug and looked up, to meet eyes with Tao. Tao smiled patted Kris' shoulder, "sorry for not helping you back there, I was just-"

"No need for that," Kris interrupted, "I just need to know when to take it down a notch. I care a little too much, and look where it's gotten me." Kris broke the hug. "This was actually good for me."

"How can something be good for you, when you're clearly hurt?" Lay said, cutting off Kris, who was going to continue to babble.

"Yeah," Tao agreed. "Just take a deep breath, and exhale slowly."

Kris did what he was told and smiled. "You guys didn't really have to come, I was about to go out."

Lay shrugged while Tao spoke, "you have always watched out for me like a mother, at some point in life, a child has to do the same for them."

Kris shook his head and checked the time, his eyes widened. "We're really late guys!"

Lay scoffed, "so, this is the first time that Exo-M is actually late. I'm sure it'll be fine." He shrugged and started to walk out. "It's time for Exo-M to not worry, we must not follow the leads of Exo-K. So in other words, being late once in awhile isn't so bad, but let's just not do it again." He finished with a smile.
