Tyler

"She wouldn't say that," I repeated the same thing over and over again in my head until I believed it. Jessica was lying. She had to be.

"Well if you'd shut up and listen, you'll understand," a good friend of mine, Jessica, sat across from me and fed me stories. "Okay so Odell and his friend were at her house last week for movie night. I-"

I had to cut her off, "What do you mean Odell was there?"

"Exactly what I said. They had met at a diner and yada yada. Those two are like so adorbs! I had brung your name up and she was all like he's just my friend, I don't like him at all, he's fucking creepy, and some more shit. I'm like girl..please don't front like that." The friend stuff was cool, but I'm a creep?

"Ya girl was flexing really hard!"

I couldn't be mad based off of a secondary source. It doesn't even sound like some shit Erien would say. She's not disrespectful like that..or is she? I mean everything she does is sort of questionable.

"Why would she do that though?"

I watched Jessica play with the straw in her cup. "I guess it's because of Odell. She got that old dick back and don't know what's up anymore."

A load of chuckles were released from me. Yeah..Jessica is sharing a sad story with me. Erien isn't about sex and she damn sure wouldn't change her ways for a dude.

Why would Jessica lie to me like this? She knows how I feel towards Erien. If she's trying to sabotage something, she should sabotage Odell and Erien's friendship.

"Whatchu really want with me?" I asked as I leaned back in the seat.

"Just wanted you to know what's going when you're not around."

Just as I was to respond, Erien texted me.

lilbit👽: wyd light bright?
me: talking to Jessica..wassup?
lilbit👽: ehh .. nvm.. ill just call you lateeeer or whatever ✌
me: u good lil bit?
lilbit👽: delete my number.

Honestly don't know what her problem is but it's whatever.

"Mm I'll see you later," I dropped a twenty and headed for my car.

The sound of clicking heels became louder and louder.

Jessica stopped me and stood in front of me. What does she want?

Her tiny hands made their way to my covered chest and her fingers started to make a beat, "I was thinking..maybe you could come by later."

I smacked my lips, "So I can tear them guts up? Goodbye Jessica. Them days are behind me!"

"Tristan misses you!"

"And I'll see him when I pick him up tomorrow."

"Can you please pick him up tonight? I have an interview and can't take him anywhere."

If I didn't know what she was up to, I would've jumped to go see Tristan the minute his name was brought up. Jessica works for some firm in Richmond and wasn't looking for any other job. She must be on a lying roll today.

"I'll be there by seven!"

Jessica winked before stepping off, "see ya baby daddy." The sound of "baby daddy" made me cringe. Jessica used Tristan as an excuse for anything just to get me to agree with something. She's just something that got extremely too far. I wish we never fucked. Meeting her was one of the biggest mistake of my life. I'm not saying I don't want my son, but at the age of seventeen, I was not ready for a child. Everything changed me once I laid eyes on my precious son. I was more than happy for him to be here. Though I didn't like the way he was brought into this world, I love my Tristan Antonio Rodriguez to pieces.
